Meleka is the former stage name for the English singer and songwriter Malika Ferguson. Biography Born Malika Ferguson, she created the pseudonym Meleka when working in the background, writing songs for other producers and artists. As Meleka, she was the featured vocalist on the funky house anthem "Go" with Crazy Cousinz in 2010. She now performs as Malika and since "Go" she has released several songs, including her debut EP, ''Songs About C''. Flowers (Sweet Female Attitude Song)
"Flowers" is the debut single by UK garage duo Sweet Female Attitude, released on 3 April 2000. The song uses the same chord sequence as Erik Satie's ''Trois Gymnopédies'', and the actual piece can be heard in the version by The House & Garage Orchestra, from the 2018 album ''Garage Classics''. The song peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart with first-week sales of about 80,500. It went on to become the United Kingdom's 37th biggest-selling single of 2000 and received a platinum certification from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for sales and streams of at least 600,000. The duo's subsequent releases failed to replicate the commercial success of “Flowers”, with the song being described as a "one-hit wonder" for Sweet Female Attitude. "Flowers" has been sampled and covered several times, most notably by DJ Spoony featuring the Sugababes and by Nathan Dawe featuring Jaykae. Nathan Dawe (born 25 May 1994) is an English DJ and producer. He is best known for his 2020 single "Lighter" featuring KSI, which reached number 3 on the UK Singles Chart. Early life and career Nathan Dawe was born in Burton upon Trent on 25 May 1994 and attended Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Sports College. He is a lifelong supporter of Aston Villa football club. He built a loyal following by releasing mixes on Soundcloud. Rather than the usual genre-specific mixes being put out, he released mashup multi-genre mixes covering everything from house music to hip-hop, reggae, bassline and pop. Nathan was the first DJ without a radio show or hit single to sell out his own concert at the O2.
