Melek Sina Baydur (born 1948) is a Turkish retired diplomat and former ambassador of Turkey. Melek Sina Baydur served as Ambassador of Turkey to Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo between 03 January 2003 and 16 December 2005. Melek Bilge (born March 23, 1989, in Istanbul, Turkey) is a Turkish professional basketball player. Melek's parents are Bosniak immigrants from Serbia. She has both Turkish and Serbian citizenship. She currently plays for Bodrum Belediyesi in Second League of Turkey at position center. Melek Davarcı (born 11 November 1988), better known by her stage name Melek Mosso, is a Turkish musician and music teacher. Life and career Melek Mosso was born on 11 November 1988 in Kayseri. She started composing music at the age of seven. At the age of nine, she began to take bağlama and Turkish folk music lessons at Denizli Municipality Conservatory. Mosso then continued her education at Fine Arts High School, where she started playing the Western concert flute. She completed her university education at Adnan Menderes University, School of Education, Department of Music Teaching. She was a choirist and soloist throughout her university years. After completing her education, she occasionally performed on the Kadıköy - Beşiktaş line in Istanbul. Melek Hassan Tourhan () (27 October 1869 – 4 February 1956) was the second wife of Sultan Hussein Kamel of Egypt. After her husband ascended the throne in 1914, she became known as Sultana Melek (). Early life Born in Istanbul in 1869, Melek was a Circassian. However, unlike many Circassians in the Ottoman era, she was not a slave. Emine Foat Tugay, whose mother Princess Nimet Mouhtar was a friend of Melek, described her as "a pocket Venus, tiny but perfectly proportioned, a pretty, lively brunette, with great charm." Abdurrahman Melek
Abdurrahman Melek (1896 in Antakya – 13 January 1978 in Ankara), was a Turkish politician, who served as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Hatay founded following the constitution approved by the league of Nations on 19 May 1937. He started practicing medicine, after studying at the Aleppo Sultaniye, Beirut University and graduating from the Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. He became of the predominant leaders in the effort to integrate Hatay into Turkey. He served as the Istanbul director of the Hatay Maturity Society (“Hatay Erginlik Cemiyeti”), took part in the Turkish Delegation negotiating with the French in Geneva. Melek Ahmed Pasha ("Ahmed Pasha the Angel"; 1604–1662) was an Ottoman Empire, Ottoman statesman and Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire, grand vizier during the reign of Mehmed IV. Early years He was of Abkhaz people, Abkhaz (or Abazins, Abazin) origin. According to one source, his father was a sea captain named Pervane. During the reign of Murad IV, he was appointed as the governor of Diyarbakır. During Ibrahim of the Ottoman Empire, Ibrahim's reign, he was appointed to the governorships of Erzurum, Mosul, Aleppo and Damascus. The Ottoman Empire's governors of Egypt from 1517 to 1805 were at various times known by different but synonymous titles, among them ''beylerbey'', viceroy, governor, governor-general, or, more generally, '' wāli''. ''Melek'' (''Angel'') is the fifth studio album by Turkish singer Candan Erçetin. It was released on 17 June 2004 by Pasaj Müzik. It was Erçetin's first album released by this music company. The preparations for ''Melek'' began immediately after the release of '' Neden'' in May 2002. It is a pop album with six of its songs being written by Erçetin herself. The album was produced by Rıza Erekli. ''Melek'' contains two classical Turkish songs, previously performed by Zeki Müren. It consists of 14 songs in total, and musician Ceza was featured on the eighth song "Şehir". The album's lead single "Melek", was released together with a music video. The second music video was made for the song "Meğer". Both of these videos were directed by the album's art director Bozkurt Bayer.
