Chester Melanson
Chester Joseph Melanson (born June 26, 1940) is a Canadian politician. He represented the electoral district of Clare in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1981 to 1984 as a member of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party. Melanson was born in 1940 at Meteghan Centre, Digby County, Nova Scotia. A graduate of the University of New Brunswick, Melanson was an athletic director. He entered provincial politics in the 1981 election, defeating Progressive Conservative Guy LeBlanc by 55 votes in the Clare riding. Melanson was defeated by LeBlanc when he ran for re-election in 1984. Dean Melanson
Dean Clement Melanson (born November 19, 1973) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey defenceman. He played 9 games in the National Hockey League with the Buffalo Sabres and Washington Capitals between 1995 and 2001. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1993 to 2008, was spent in the minor leagues and in Europe. Biography Melanson was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. As a youth, he played in the 1985 and 1986 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with a minor ice hockey team from Antigonish. Melanson was drafted in the fourth round, 80th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. Melanson appeared in only nine games in the NHL: five with the Sabres in the 1994–95 season and four with the Washington Capitals in the 2001–02 season. Louis-Joseph-Arthur Melanson (March 23, 1879 – October 23, 1941) was a Canadian priest and the first Archbishop of Moncton, New Brunswick. Born in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, he was of Acadian descent on his father's side. Melanson moved to New Richmond, Quebec when he was little. Melanson studied theology in Rimouski and Montreal. He was ordained on July 9, 1905. Melanie Jo Melanson (born November 1, 1974) is a missing teenager from Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. She vanished while at a party on October 27, 1989; at first, investigators believed she fled to Florida. However, subsequent investigations by both authorities and a private investigator have turned up no leads. Disappearance Melanson was a freshman in high school, and looking forward to a change of schools. At the time of her disappearance, she was living with her grandmother yet maintained contact with her parents. She was asked to attend a party on the evening of October 27, 1989. Neil Melanson is an American submission grappling coach. Melanson specializes in catch wrestling, while drawing elements from judo, and focuses his coaching specifically on grappling in mixed martial arts. He is especially known for his guard work, leg locks and triangle chokes. He is currently the head grappling coach at Jaco Hybrid Training Center. He is the former head grappling coach at both Xtreme Couture Las Vegas and Alliance MMA. Melanson's hybrid grappling style comes from his training under Gene LeBell, Gokor Chivichyan, and Karo Parisyan (who awarded him his black belt) at the Hayastan MMA Academy. Olivier-Maximin Melanson
Olivier-Maximin Melanson (July 2, 1854 – July 7, 1926) was an Acadian businessman and politician in the New Brunswick, Province of New Brunswick, Canada. He represented Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Westmorland County in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1890 to 1892, from 1899 to 1903 and from 1912 to 1917. He was born and was educated in Haute Aboujagane, New Brunswick, the son of Maximin Melanson and Julie Le Blanc. He began work as a clerk in a store owned by an Acadian merchant in Shediac. After partnering with one of his employer's sons in business, Melanson opened his own store in 1874. He also began exporting produce, potatoes and eggs, and lobsters. Roland "Rollie the Goalie" Joseph Melanson (born June 28, 1960) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former goaltender in the National Hockey League (NHL). He most recently served as the goaltending coach for the New Jersey Devils, previously serving as assistant coach for the Montreal Canadiens and as goaltending coach for the Vancouver Canucks.
