The following is a list of characters that first appeared in the British soap opera '' Emmerdale'' in 2007, by order of first appearance. All characters were introduced by the soap's executive producer, Keith Richardson. Cathy Hope Catherine "Cathy" Hope is the daughter of Bob Hope ( Tony Audenshaw) and Viv Hope ( Deena Payne). She first appeared in February 2007. Since Bob and Viv's remarriage in 2006 they had both wanted a child together. However, plans changed when Bob's daughter Dawn Woods ( Julia Mallam) died in a show home explosion in July 2006. ''Emmerdale'' (known as ''Emmerdale Farm'' until 1989) is a British soap opera that is broadcast on ITV1. The show is set in Emmerdale (known as Beckindale until 1994), a fictional village in the Yorkshire Dales. Created by Kevin Laffan, ''Emmerdale Farm'' was first broadcast on 16 October 1972. Interior scenes have been filmed at the Leeds Studios since its inception. Exterior scenes were first filmed in Arncliffe in Littondale, and the series may have taken its name from Amerdale, an ancient name of Littondale. Exterior scenes were later shot at Esholt, but are now shot at a purpose-built set on the Harewood estate. The programme is broadcast in every ITV region. Antony Audenshaw (born 6 September 1964) is an English actor and singer. Audenshaw appeared in the Channel 4 soap opera ''Brookside'' from 1994 to 1996). Then in 2000, he began portraying the role of Bob Hope on the ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale''. For his portrayal of the role, he received a nomination for Most Popular Newcomer at the 7th National Television Awards. Life and career Audenshaw was born in Denton, Lancashire on 9 September 1964. Dominic Adam Brunt (born 15 April 1970) is an English actor, director and producer, best known for portraying the role of Paddy Kirk in the ITV (TV channel), ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale''. Terry Woods is a fictional character from the Television in the United Kingdom, British television soap opera ''Emmerdale'', played by Billy Hartman. He was one of the longest-serving characters in the show when he was killed off alongside Viv Hope (Deena Payne) in early 2011, after 16 years. Development Hartman said he found his audition for the role daunting. Marlon Dingle

Benedict Freeman (born 8 April 1980) is an English actor, known for portraying the role of Scott Windsor in the ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale''.
