Mel Judah
Mel Judah (born 8 October 1947 in Kolkata, India) is an Australian professional poker player, also known as "The Silver Fox" (a nickname he shares with fellow poker player Peter Costa). He learned poker at the age of 14 by watching his father play 5-card draw. He has had several noticeable finishes in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and the World Poker Tour (WPT). He won his first World Series of Poker bracelet in the 1989 in the $1,500 Seven Card Stud event. Judah won his second bracelet at the 1997 $5,000 Seven Card Stud event, defeating Vasilis Lazarou who has also won two WSOP bracelets in seven card stud tournaments. He was also at the final table of the 1997 World Series of Poker main event, won by Stu Ungar, eventually coming in third place, and earning $371,000. Judah also claimed the 2003 Legends of Poker title on the World Poker Tour, winning $579,375. 2006 World Series Of Poker
The 2006 World Series of Poker (WSOP) began on June 25, 2006 with satellite events, with regular play commencing on June 26 with the annual Casino Employee event, and the Tournament of Champions held on June 28 and 29. 40 more events in various disciplines including Omaha, seven-card stud and razz, plus ladies' and senior tournaments led up to the 10,000 US$ no-limit Texas hold 'em main event starting July 28 and running through the final table on August 10. Paul Phillips (poker Player)
Paul Phillips (born August 9, 1972 in San Francisco, California) is an American software developer, entrepreneur and poker player. Programming Phillips wrote the Boa (web server), Boa web server while attending the University of California, San Diego, but no longer maintains it. In 1994, one of his colleagues at college discovered he had an interest in blackjack and subsequently introduced him to poker. In 1996, he became Chief Technical Officer for Go2Net. This success is the basis of his nickname Dot-com company, Dot-com. Phillips subsequently started working on the Scala (programming language), Scala compiler and standard library.
