The Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) is a database of name and location information about more than two million physical and cultural features, encompassing the United States and its territories; the Compact of Free Association, associated states of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau; and Antarctica. It is owned by the Morgan County Airport Authority and located three nautical miles (6 km) east of the central business district of McConnelsville, Ohio.
