Mehrabi (Persian: مهرابی or محرابی) is a toponym and a Persian habitational surname for a person from one of two Iranian villages named ''Mehrab''. It is also a common last name in Afghanistan. Ehsan Mehrabi
Ehsan Mahrabi, born in 1978, is an Iranian journalist who worked for reformist newspapers including ''Hambastegi, Etemad'', and ''Etemad Melli''. In addition to his work as a journalist, he has a background in civil engineering. At the time of his arrest, Mehrabi was working as a correspondent for ''Farhikhtegan'' newspaper in Iran. Kaveh Mehrabi ( fa, کاوه مهرابی; born 5 May 1982) is a former professional Iranian badminton player. Career Mehrabi was born in Tehran, Iran, and on April 10, 2003 he moved to Copenhagen, Denmark to become the first Iranian professional badminton player and practice at the International Badminton Academy. Massoud Mehrabi
Massoud Mehrabi (1954 – 31 August 2020) was an Iranian journalist, writer and caricaturist. He studied cinema at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts of the University of Art (1977–1982). and later passed a Film Production Management course at the Industrial Management Institute (1983–84). Mehrabi started his professional career as a journalist in 1970, writing articles for several papers. From 1982 to 1989, he worked at the economic desk of the Iranian National Television. Zahra Mehrabi
Zahra Bahrami, also spelled Sahra Baahrami ( fa, زهرا بهرامی; 25 January 1965 – 29 January 2011) (Previous name: Zahra Mehrabi), was a dual Dutch and Iranian citizen who was executed in Iran after being arrested during a political protest, and later convicted by the Islamic Revolutionary Court for drug trafficking. She was initially arrested in December 2009 for participating in the Ashura protests and charged with national security offenses as well as for being a member of Kingdom Assembly of Iran. However, according to the Iranian Judicatory, a subsequent search of her house uncovered 450 grams of cocaine, 420 grams of opium, and several forged passports. Mihrab
Mihrab ( ar, محراب, ', pl. ') is a niche in the wall of a mosque that indicates the ''qibla'', the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca towards which Muslims should face when praying. The wall in which a ''mihrab'' appears is thus the "qibla wall". The ''minbar'', which is the raised platform from which an imam (leader of prayer) addresses the congregation, is located to the right of the mihrab.
