Megumi Kurihara
Megumi Kurihara (栗原恵 ''Kurihara Megumi'', born July 31, 1984) is a Japanese volleyball former player who played for JT Marvelous. She also played for the All-Japan women's volleyball team and participated at the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics. Her nickname is "Princess Meg" (プリンセス・メグ). Biography Kurihara began playing volleyball as a fourth grader. She plays volleyball out of the feeling that valley wants to become good at in Otsu Junior High School of Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture and, in June, 1998 that was an eighth grader, study abroad. The senior high school enters Mitajiri girls' high school (existing Seiei High School) of Hōfu, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and experiences three senior high school crowns of high valley championship in a first grader in an Inter-highschool/National Sports Festival of Japan/ spring volleyball match. Etajima, Hiroshima
is a city (formerly a town) located on the island of Etajima in Hiroshima Bay in southwestern Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. The modern city of Etajima was established on November 1, 2004, from the merger of the town of Etajima (from Aki District) absorbing three towns from Saeki District: Nōmi, Ōgaki, and Okimi. Japan Women's National Volleyball Team
The Japan women's national volleyball team (Hinotori Nippon, 火の鳥NIPPON), or ''All-Japan women's volleyball team'', is currently ranked 10th in the world by FIVB. The new head coach is Masayoshi Manabe. One of their greatest successes was at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, when they defeated the heavily favored Soviet Union on the way to the gold medal. Japan was qualified for the 2004 Summer Olympics by winning the Women's Olympic Qualifier that was held from 8 May to 16 May in Tokyo, Japan. In Athens, Greece the team took fifth place in the overall-rankings. FIVB World Grand Prix 2008
The FIVB World Grand Prix 2008 was a women's volleyball tournament in which 12 countries competed from 20 June to 12 July 2008. The finals were held in Yokohama Arena, Yokohama, Japan. Cuba, Brazil, Dominican Republic and the United States qualified for the tournament at the 2007 Women's Pan-American Cup in Colima, Mexico. Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis
Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST), cerebral venous and sinus thrombosis or cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT), is the presence of a blood clot in the dural venous sinuses (which drain blood from the brain), the cerebral veins, or both. Symptoms may include severe headache, visual symptoms, any of the symptoms of stroke such as weakness of the face and limbs on one side of the body, and seizures, which occur in around 40% of patients. The diagnosis is usually by computed tomography (CT scan) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to demonstrate obstruction of the venous sinuses. After confirmation of the diagnosis, investigations may be performed to determine the underlying cause, especially if one is not readily apparent. Treatment is typically with anticoagulants (medications that suppress blood clotting) such as low molecular weight heparin. Arie Selinger
Aryeh "Lonk" Selinger (born 5 April 1937) is an Israeli volleyball manager and former player. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest volleyball coaches of all time. Selinger has served as the head coach of the USA Women's Team in the years 1975–1984, a team that would go on to win the Bronze medal in the 1982 World Championship and the Silver Medal in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, USA.
