Meghraj Sharma Nepal
Meghraj Sharma Nepal (Nepali:मेघराज शर्मा नेपाल), popularly known by his pen-name ''Manjul (Nepali मञ्जुल)'' is a Nepalese singer, writer and poet. He was born in Falgun 2003 B.S.(1947 CE) in Bhojpur. His songs and poem deals with the social issues. Personal life After completing his school in Bhojpur, Manjul came to Dharan for higher studies where he met the musical group Sangeet Sangh Samuha and began to write lyrics for them. He learnt music from the same group. Manjul received his Bachelor in Arts degree in 1973. In the 1960s, Manjul became part of a musical group called Ralpha as a songwriter as replacement of Ganesh Rashik. He travelled throughout Nepal with the group. The goal of the group was not only to perform, but had a political mission. Bhojpur, Nepal
Bhojpur is a neighborhood in Bhojpur Municipality which is located in Bhojpur District in Province No. 1 of Nepal. The Bhojpur Village Panchayat was established in 1962 and was renamed as Bhojpur Village development committee in 1990. On 18 May 2014 the Government of Nepal declared 72 new municipalities within the country. At the same time, Bhojpur Municipality was declared, incorporating Bhojpur, Bhaisipankha, Bokhim and Taksar VDCs. Vikram Samvat (IAST: ''Vikrama Samvat''; abbreviated VS) or Bikram Sambat B.S. and also known as the Vikrami calendar, is a Hindu calendar historically used in the Indian subcontinent. Dharan
Dharan ( ne, धरान) a sub-metropolitan city in Sunsari District of Province No. 1, Nepal, which was established as a fourth municipality in the Kingdom in 1958. It is the third most populous city in Eastern Nepal after Biratnagar and Itahari. Dharan is the location of the former Vijayapur, the seat of a historical Limbuwan kingdom, which was later used by the Sen kings of Makwanpur. Ralpha
Ralpha () was a leftist cultural group of Nepal which produced various songs and literatures to protest against the government. They began as a politically neutral group primarily due to problem with Radio Nepal regarding non-payment of royalty but it gradually turned into a cultural movement. They produced protest songs, poems and novels against the autocratic rule of Panchyat. History Narayan Bhakta Shrestha (Rayan), a member of Ralpha, was denied the royalty by Radio Nepal for his song/poem collection for the period of 2021-2023 BS. Royalty was drawn out from their account by someone else by forging documents. When the same forging was identified by other authors and poets, the victims formed a group to protest against Radio Nepal. Ganesha ( sa, गणेश, ), also known as Ganapati, Vinayaka, and Pillaiyar, is one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon and is the Supreme God in Ganapatya sect. Panchayat ( ne, पञ्चायत) was a partyless political system incepted by King Mahendra by sidelining the Nepali Congress government of B. P. Koirala on 15 December 1960 AD (1st Poush 2017 BS). He introduced the partyless Panchayat system on 5 January 1961 AD (22nd Poush 2017 BS). Under his direct rule King Mahendra introduced the four tiered structure—village, town, district and national Panchayat—on the basis of limited elected executive committee.
