Meggie Meidlinger is a member of the United States women's national baseball team. At 6'2", she was the tallest member of the US roster that captured the bronze medal at the 2008 Women's Baseball World Cup. Baseball
Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of nine players each, taking turns batting and fielding. United States Women's National Baseball Team
The United States women's national baseball team is a national team that represents the United States of America in international women's baseball competitions. It is controlled by USA Baseball and is a member of the Pan American Baseball Confederation (COPABE). Dominion High School is a public secondary school in Sterling, an unincorporated area in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States. Dominion High School first opened in 2003, receiving students from Potomac Falls High School and Park View High School. Dominion's student body live primarily in the communities of Sugarland Run and Lowes Island. ''Faces in the Crowd'' is a long-running segment from ''Sports Illustrated''. Starting in the January 9, 1956, issue, the segment was originally titled ''These Faces in the Crowd.'' The predecessor to ''These Faces...'' was a segment called ''Pat on the Back''. It differed in that it did not just focus on unknown or amateur athletes. Contrary to ''Faces in the Crowd'', it featured professional athletes who set milestones and celebrities who undertook an athletic endeavor. Slight deviations from its basic format are rare. One such example was in the college football preview issue on September 5, 1977 when the segment was temporarily retitled ''Freshmen in the Crowd'' and featured six incoming gridiron prospects from major NCAA Division I programs.
