Megamax was a pay television channel that was broadcast in Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic and Slovakia, owned by AMC Networks International in Central Europe. It was aimed primarily at young males, 5–17 years old and broadcast animated series and teen series. The channel closed down on 1 January 2020 at 06:00 CET. Its channel slot transitioned to JimJam. History Megamax was first launched in Hungary on 18 April 2011 at 16:00 CET on Telekom and timeshared with Zone Club, which was broadcast 24 hours a day since New Year's Day 2007. On 1 September 2011, Megamax increased broadcast time from 13:00 CET, and on 1 December 2011 from 07:00 CET. On 1 February 2012, Zone Club closed, and the channel became available on the Hungarian UPC Direct. Zone Club
Zone Club was a European lifestyle (sociology), lifestyle and entertainment channel. It launched in 1998 as Club. It then launched on 1 April 2001 in Poland, and on 13 September 2004 in Hungary. The Hungarian version was originally 24/7 on the UPC Direct satellite platform, but on cable, it timeshared with TV2 (Hungarian TV channel), TV2's Írisz TV, which was broadcast between 18:00-23:00 CET. On 27 June 2006, as part of Zone Vision's channels rebranded under the "Zone" brand, Club became Zone Club. The channel became 24/7 in Hungary on 1 January 2007, when Írisz TV closed. C8 was a general entertainment TV channel broadcasting to people in Hungary. The channel launched on 1 April 2014 in Hungary and 5 May 2014 in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia and Romania, replacing Animax. The channel ceased on 30 December 2015 in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia and Romania. Sport1 is a European sports channel which is currently available in Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia broadcasting in different languages. The channel is owned by AMC Networks International Central Europe. It currently holds the TV rights to broadcast National Football League games and Formula 1 races in the countries where the channel is available. Romania In Romania, Sport1 was available from 2006 until 5 November 2014. ''Blue Water High'' is an Australian television drama series, broadcast by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation on ABC1 and on Austar/ Foxtel Nickelodeon channel in Australia and on various channels in many other countries. Each season follows the lives of a young group of students at Solar Blue, a high-performance surf academy where several lucky 16-year-olds are selected for a 12-month-long surfing program at Bilgola Beach, Sydney. There are three series in Blue Water High. The first two series were screened in 2005 and 2006 and the producers did not intend to create a third and final series.
