Megalomania (Aqua Album)
''Megalomania'' is the third and most recent studio album by Danish-Norwegian band Aqua. It was released on October 3, 2011, by Universal Music Group and WaterWorks, over 11 years after the release of their second studio album, ''Aquarius'' (2000). The album peaked at number two in Denmark and was certified gold by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). Background After their split in 2001 Aqua announced their comeback on October 26, 2007, during a press conference. During the summer of 2008 Aqua played eight concerts in eight different cities as part of the one day music festival Grøn Koncert in Denmark. Megalomaniac (KMFDM Song)
"Megalomaniac" is a song by industrial rock band KMFDM from the album commonly referred to as ''Symbols (album), Symbols''. It was released in various forms in late 1997 and early 1998. The song peaked at #22 on Billboard's Bubbling Under 100 chart, the band's only appearance on the chart. The associated music video featured a then-unknown, and only 17 year old Kelly Brook. A 7" vinyl version was released in 2009. The song was also used in the film ''Mortal Kombat: Annihilation'' in the end credits and in the 1998 racing video game ''Test Drive 5'', along with an instrumental version in the latter. "Megalomaniac" is a song by the American rock band Incubus, from their 2004 album '' A Crow Left of the Murder...'' It was released as a single in December 2003, and eventually reached the top of ''Billboard''s Modern Rock Tracks, where it stayed for a six-week period. Outside the United States, the song reached the top 30 in Italy, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Composition The song begins with a cyclic, scratchy warble that lasts about 30 seconds (not present in the radio edit) before fading into a more conventional introduction. The entire buildup lasts about one minute in all before climaxing into a heavy rock riff, with distorted electric guitars and bass, before going into the first verse. ''Sabotage'' is the sixth studio album by English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, released in July 1975. The album was recorded in the midst of a legal battle with the band's former manager Patrick Meehan. The stress that resulted from the band's ongoing legal woes infiltrated the recording process, inspiring the album's title. It was co-produced by guitarist Tony Iommi and Mike Butcher. Recording Black Sabbath began work on their sixth album in February 1975, again in England at Morgan Studios in Willesden, London. The title ''Sabotage'' was chosen because the band were at the time being sued by their former management and felt they were being "sabotaged all the way along the line and getting punched from all sides", according to Iommi. Fireworks (Pele Album)
Pele were an English indie rock band, formed in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, England in 1990, by the guitarist and frontman Ian Prowse and keyboard player Andrew Roberts. They were joined by Dally on drums, Jimmy McAllister on bass guitar and finally Nico on violin. Despite never reaching the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart, the band built up a loyal live following, but split in 1995 due to a legal wrangle with their record label. Biography After gigging around Chester and Liverpool, the band were signed to Polgram backed label M&G Records, after their head of A&R heard a demo of "Megalomania". Within weeks the band set about recording their debut album, ''Fireworks'', at the Metropolis recording studios in London, with record producer, Gary Langan. Kissin' Dynamite is a German heavy metal band from Burladingen and Münsingen. History Kissin' Dynamite started as a school band. Since 2007, the band has worked with the Flensburg production team Elephant Music. At the end of 2007, they started sending demos to various music labels, leading to a record contract with Capitol Records / EMI in the same year. They released their debut album ''Steel of Swabia'' in 2008, and in that year also started appearing in music festivals, which included Bang Your Head. Their second album, also produced by Elephant Music, was titled ''Addicted to Metal'' and had twelve tracks. ''Of Darkness...'' is a debut studio album released in February 1991 by the Swedish band Therion and it contains songs written in the early years of the band, during the 1980s. The album is indicated by the band itself as an end of its first era.
