Megahit-International Mediterranean Song Contest
Megahit-International Mediterranean Song Contest ( tr, Megahit-Uluslararası Akdeniz Şarkı Yarışması) was an international song contest hosted in Turkey featuring singers from Mediterranean countries. There were three editions of the event. Nine countries participated in the first event, which was held in 2002 in Antalya. The second and third editions were organized in Fethiye, Muğla. The number of participants grew and reached 14 in 2003, and to 15 in 2004. The three contest winners were Eyal Shachar of Israel, Sedat Yüce of Turkey and Linda Valori of Italy, respectively. ''Radikal'' () was a daily liberal Turkish language newspaper, published in Istanbul. From 1996 it was published by Aydın Doğan's Doğan Media Group. Although Radikal did not endorse a particular political alignment, it was generally considered by the public as a social liberal newspaper. Despite only having a circulation of around 25,000 (July 2013), it was considered one of the most influential Turkish newspapers. Fethiye () is a city and district of Muğla Province in the Aegean Region of Turkey. It is one of the prominent tourist destinations in the Turkish Riviera. In 2019 its population was 162,686. Goran Karan
Goran Karan (born 2 April 1964) is a Croatian vocalist. He specializes in songs influenced by Dalmatian folk music and is known for his powerful and refined tenor voice. Karan's collaboration with composer Zdenko Runjić led to some of his most acclaimed work, which won him several awards. Biography Karan was the lead singer of Croatian rock group Big Blue, before becoming a solo artist in 1997. In 2000 he represented Croatia at Eurovision Song Contest, after winning the Croatian pre-selection Dora.
