''bc magazine'' was a free bi-weekly English-language arts and entertainment magazine in Hong Kong. It was published between 1994 and 2011 by Carpe Diem Publications Limited, with fresh issues available at bars, restaurants and coffee shops throughout the HK SAR on the first and third Thursdays of each month. At its height, it has a print-run of 40,000 copies. Next Wave is a biennial festival based in Melbourne, which promotes and showcases the work of young and emerging artists. Adventure Kid
is an erotic manga series written and illustrated by Toshio Maeda. It was published by Wanimagazine into four volumes from 1988 to 1989 and it was adapted into an original video animation (OVA). Mixing horror, fantasy and comedy, it follows Norizaku and Midori as they find a demonic computer that sends them to Hell and destroy their world. They are transported to a World War II setting and they have to prevent their future to be ruined. In the British release of the anime the alternate name ''Adventure Duo'' was used because it was believed parents might buy it for their children by mistake without realizing the explicit sexual content and scenes of tentacle rape. Both the manga and OVA series were licensed in North America by Central Park Media, through its Manga 18 and Anime 18 divisions. Megabite (A Split-Second Album)
A Split-Second is a Belgian new beat and electronic body music (EBM) band established in 1985. The band is seen as one of the pioneers of EBM and their music influenced the creation of the new beat genre. History The project was born in 1985 as a solo project of Marc Heyndrickx (under the name Marc Ickx), who self-released the demo-tape "Stained Impressions" with Peter Bonne (later re-named Chrismar Chayell) producing. Bonne at that time was releasing music as Twilight Ritual together with vocalist Geert Coppens. To record the demo, Heyndrickx spent the last of his money on an amp and cassette deck and spent the holidays in the offices of Independent Films. Having heard the initial material, Bonne invited Heyndrickx to record more songs in his 4-track studio. Antler records signed the band immediately upon hearing the first demo. IDT Megabite Cafe (also known as IDT Mega Bite Cafe) was a cybercafe and sushi bar in New York City. History IDT Megabite Cafe is located in New York City's Diamond District. Originally the internet café was a kosher cafe and pizza restaurant. In February 1997, the cafe restaurant was converted into a cybercafe, incorporating a new interior and a kosher sushi bar at a cost of what was about $135,000 at the time. When the cafe reopened in 1997, it had one computer per dining table, plus two that were exclusively for checking email. In total, there were about a dozen public-use computers. A spokesperson from the IDT Corporation, Howard Jonas, said a wider range of patrons came to the cafe because of the addition. The byte is a unit of digital information that most commonly consists of eight bits. Historically, the byte was the number of bits used to encode a single character of text in a computer and for this reason it is the smallest addressable unit of memory in many computer architectures.
