Meet With Me
''Meet With Me'' was recorded live at San Diego, California café club "LeStats West" on November 4, 2010. The show also included bands Fairmount Extension and hING! This album contains 12 tracks from the show. The recording give the listener a chance to hear the 21st Century "Cardiac Kidz". The Cardiac Kidz showcased their ability to cross music genres and generations by producing music that treads over both punk rock, and alternative rock. Cardiac Kidz
Cardiac Kidz was an American punk band from San Diego, California, United States, active from the late 1970s through the early 1980s. In 1979, the Cardiac Kidz released two 7" vinyl records; a 45 rpm disc, "Get Out / Find Yourself A Way" and a 33 rpm EP called, ''Playground''. They were the first punk band to make a TV appearance in San Diego June 1979 appearing on San Diego's KFMB-TV show "Sun Up San Diego" (Host Jerry G. Bishop) and were played on San Diego mainstream radio stations of the time such as KGB-FM, KPRI and XETRA-FM (91-X) along with local college radio stations like SDSU's KPBS-FM. Articles on the Cardiac Kidz appeared in the San Diego Union Tribune, Kicks Magazine, and the San Diego Reader. The Cardiac Kidz are still featured across the US and in the UK through Independent Radio shows and podcasts such as "Strange Reaction". ''Rarities 1979–1981'' was the digital release by the Southern Californian punk rock band Cardiac Kidz of the vinyl LP released by Rave-Up records in 2009. This album, contains the 14 tracks from the vinyl LP plus unreleased tracks from the 1979 Spirit Night Club show in which the EP "Playground" showcased 4 tracks in the 1979 release. The CD also contains studio recordings that couldn't fit on the vinyl LP record. Bart Mendoza
Bart Mendoza (born September 5, 1962) is an American journalist, musician and songwriter. 1980–1990: Bands, fanzines and festivals Mendoza graduated from Muirlands Jr. High School in 1977 and then La Jolla High School in 1980, having played with several bands including Starjammer and the Pedestrians. In 1980 he joined the staff of San Diego music magazine, ''Kicks'', in the credits as working on event listings and their music calendar. From 1981 to 1990, he was frontman and chief songwriter for mod-influenced group Manual Scan. Between 1991 and 2010 he performed with power pop group The Shambles. In 2009 he joined Wendy Bailey & True Stories full-time as guitarist, taking over the frontman role when Bailey took a band sabbatical in early 2012.
