Medvezhye (Chukotka Autonomous Okrug)
Medvezhye (), also known as Mezhgornoye (), is a lake in Providensky District, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Russian Federation.Google Earth There are no permanent settlements on the shores of the lake. The nearest inhabited place is Enmelen, located to the southeast. Geography Medvezhye is located in the Chukotka Peninsula, east of Kresta Bay, close to the Gulf of Anadyr of the Bering Sea. Sentinel-2 is an Earth observation mission from the Copernicus Programme that systematically acquires optical imagery at high spatial resolution (10 m to 60 m) over land and coastal waters. The mission is currently a constellation with two satellites, Sentinel-2A and Sentinel-2B; a third satellite, Sentinel-2C, is currently undergoing testing in preparation for launch in 2024. Enmelen
Enmelen (russian: Энмеле́н; Chukchi: , ''Ènmyḷ'yn''; Yupik: ) is a village ('' selo'') in Providensky District of Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, in the Far Eastern Federal District of Russia. Population: Municipally, Enmelen is subordinated to Providensky Municipal District and incorporated as Enmelen Rural Settlement. Geography Enmelen (lit. "craggy" in Chukchi) is situated near Cape Bering well over 200 km from Provideniya. The settlement is not connected by road to any other places. It is populated by a mixture of Chukchi and Yupik and near the village is the site of an ancient Yupik settlement. Kresta Bay or Kresta Gulf (russian: Залив Креста; ''Zaliv Kresta'') is a large bay of the Gulf of Anadyr on the southern coast of the Chukotka Peninsula, Russian Federation. The Gulf of Anadyr, or Anadyr Bay (russian: Анадырский залив), is a large bay on the Bering Sea in far northeast Siberia.
