Medhat Abdelhady ( ar, مدحت عبد الهادي ; born 12 July 1974) is an Egyptian football manager and a retired footballer. He last played as a defender (left fullback), and spent most of his career playing for Egyptian side Zamalek. Medhat Haroun ( ar, مدحت هارون, November 30, 1951 – October 18, 2012) was an Egyptian-American expert on earthquake engineering. He wrote more than 300 technical papers and received the Charles Martin Duke Lifeline Earthquake Engineering Award (2006) and the Walter Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize (1992) from the American Society of Civil Engineers. Medhat al-Mahmoud (born September 21, 1933) is the former head of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council and is the 1st Chief Justice of Iraq. He has served in this capacity since 2005 to 2017. Early career Mahmoud was born and grew up in Rusafa, attending both primary and high school in Baghdad, before attending the College of Law at Baghdad University, which he graduated from as part of the class of 1959 as top of his class. After being admitted to the bar, he practiced law and also served as a reserve officer in the Iraqi Army. In 1960 he was appointed as a Judicial Investigator for the Department of Justice, and was later appointed as a Judge in 1968 after passing a competency examination. Ahmed Şefik Midhat Pasha ( ota , احمد شفيق مدحت پاشا, 18 October 1822 – 26 April 1883) was an Ottoman democrat, kingmaker and one of the leading statesmen during the late Tanzimat period. He is most famous for leading the Ottoman constitutional movement of 1876 and introducing the First Constitutional Era, but was also a leading figure of reform in the educational and provincial administrations. He was part of a governing elite which recognized the crisis the Empire was in and considered reform to be a dire need. Midhat Pasha is described as a person with a liberal attitude and is often considered one of the founders of the Ottoman Parliament.
