Lichtenfels, Hesse
Lichtenfels is a small town in Waldeck-Frankenberg district in northwest Hesse, Germany. Geography Location Lichtenfels lies at the northeast foot of the Rothaargebirge, some southwest of Kassel. It is not far from the western end of the Edersee in the southwest of the ''Waldecker Land''. Bordering on the west is the ''Medebacher Bucht'', or Medebach Bight, although this is not a bight in the conventional sense, being dry land. Bordering on the south is the Breite Struth (hills). 2007 Bomb Plot In Germany
The 2007 bomb plot in Germany, planned by the al-Qaeda controlled Islamic Jihad Union (IJU), affiliated Sauerland terror cell (german: Sauerland-Gruppe, lit= Sauerland Group), was discovered following an extensive nine-month investigation. That involved more than 600 agents in five German states. The number of agents involved in a counterterrorism operation led by the federal police has never been the case before. At the same time, Danish police in Copenhagen were busy with explosives. A Pakistani and an Afghan man have been charged with preparing to carry out their attacks under al-Qaeda plans. Authorities said they were unaware of any direct links between the terrorists arrested in the two European countries. Josef Bergenthal (November 1, 1900 in Oberschledorn, Province of Westphalia – August 24, 1982) was a German writer and during the period of National Socialism was one of the intellectual supporters of the regime and Nazism. Bergenthal attended high school in Paderborn. Later he studied law and political sciences and philosophy, history, and drama. After graduation, he spent a year working for a theater magazine in Berlin. He then lived in Munster as a freelance writer and editor. He was often served as editor and also wrote for radio.
