The Medal for Long Marital Life ( pl, Medal Za Długoletnie Pożycie Małżeńskie) is a Polish medal established on February 17, 1960. It is awarded to couples who have been married for at least 50 years. It is a round, silver medal with six (6) rays. The obverse has a pink enameled center with two roses with intertwined stems superimposed. The reverse has the letters RP in the center. Surrounding this are the words: ZA DŁUGOLETNIE POŻYCIE MAŁŻEŃSKIE in a circle. The medal is 35mm in diameter. The ribbon is 37mm wide with a 4mm wide white stripe in the center of the ribbon. The Medal for Long Service (Polish: ''Medal za Długoletnią Służbę'') is a Polish decoration awarded in three classes (gold, silver and bronze) to members of the Polish Armed Forces and other uniformed services, and to civil servants who have honorably completed 30, 20 or 10 years of service to the State. History The medal was established by the Law of January 8, 1938. After the outbreak of the Second World War the conferment was suspended, and after the war the medal was eventually discontinued. In 1951, it was replaced by the Medal of the Armed Forces in the Service of the Fatherland for members of the armed forces. Polish Campaign Stars
Polish campaign stars were established on 14 June 2007 to recognize military and civilian participants of overseas missions since 2002. Polish personnel must have been present for at least one day. Foreigners may be presented with a campaign star for collaborating with Polish forces during the mission. Appearance The medal is 44 mm across in a bronze patina in the shape of a four pointed star. Behind the star are two crossed swords, blades pointing upward. The raised monogram of the letters "RP" is found in the top arm of the star. In the middle of the star is the name of a country or a geographical area for operations. On the lower arm and between the upper arms are stylized laurel leaves.
