Meat Market (film)
''Meat Market'' is a 2000 Canadian horror film directed and written by Brian Clement, based on a story by Nick Sheehan and Tania Willard. It stars Claire Westby and Paul Pedrosa as survivors of a zombie apocalypse who team up with a masked Mexican wrestler and a trio of vampires. The film was followed by two sequels, '' Meat Market 2'' and '' Meat Market 3''. Plot Ex-bounty hunters Argenta and Shahrokh discover that a wave of murders is the work of zombies. They team up with a trio of female vampires – Nemesis, Valeria, and Tiamat – and a masked Mexican wrestler, El Diablo Azul, against the zombies. Eventually, they learn that the zombies are reanimated by nanobots, which gives the zombies a collective consciousness. In the end, the scientist who created them is killed by his own creations. Brian Clement
Brian Clement (born March 21, 1977) is a Canadian independent film director, writer, and producer. He is most well known for his low budget zombie films, including ''Meat Market'', '' Meat Market 2'', and '' Meat Market 3''. Life and career Clement was born in Kelowna, British Columbia but his family moved to Victoria, British Columbia in 1980, where he grew up. He lived for a year in Japan teaching English from 1996 to 1997 and met several relatives; Clement is of Japanese-Canadian and English descent. His mother is Japanese-Canadian. His second middle name is the Japanese name "Haruo". In Victoria, Clement made several short films and an historical drama feature in 1999. In 2000, ''Meat Market'', made for under $CAD2000, was picked up for distribution by Sub Rosa Cinema (later SRS Cinema), based out of upstate New York. Cam Pipes
Cam Pipes is a Canadian musician who performed as the lead vocalist and bassist in the heavy metal band 3 Inches of Blood. He performs a falsetto vocal style reminiscent of Udo Dirkschneider and King Diamond. Pipes was the only member of 3 Inches of Blood to have been featured on all of their albums, although he was not a founding member of the band. Pipes' influences include Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Twisted Sister, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Accept and classical music. Pipes formerly played bass for black metal band Allfather.
