"(I Would) Die for You" is a song released by Antique, a duo consisting of Helena Paparizou and Nikos Panagiotidis, both born and raised in Sweden by Greek parents. It was the entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001, performed in English and Greek (the first Greek entry not to be performed entirely in Greek). Prior to entering the contest the group had had two Top 10 hits in both Greece and Sweden, " Opa Opa" and " Dinata Dinata". "(I Would) Die for You" was released as a CD single by Bonnier Music and EMI International following the contest. The CD single was certified platinum in Greece and gold in Sweden. Giorgos Alkaios (Greek: Γιώργος Αλκαίος; born 24 December 1971) is a Greek recording artist. His career began in 1989 after appearing on a Greek reality show. Following a brief period of stage acting, Alkaios dedicated himself to music. His first single, "Ti Ti", made him popular in Greece. His distinctive musical style fuses Greek and Oriental elements with modern pop music. To date he has been certified with 5 platinum and 9 gold albums. "Opa Opa" is a song by Greek singer Notis Sfakianakis, released as a single from his second album ''Ise Ena Pistoli'' in 1992. Opa Opa is a laïko dance song and was written and produced by singer Giorgos Alkaios in 1999. The song has been covered by a number of artists, taking it to further success abroad. Dinata
"Dinata" or "Dynata" is a song from the album '' Meno Ektos''; its music was composed by Ara Dinkjian, its lyrics written by Lina Nikolakopoulou and it was first sung by Eleftheria Arvanitaki while Arto Tuncboyaciyan features in non verbal singing and percussion in some versions and performances of it; it mixes the influence of Balkan, Greek and Armenian music with electronics. Christer Eric Sandelin (born 5 November 1961) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and musician. He has been a part of two groups. In 1978, he was in the Swedish group Freestyle with Tommy Ekman, Joakim Hagleitner, Gigi Hamilton, Diane Söderholm and Anders Uddbergand, and after the break-up of the band in 1983, he continued with Ekman and Hamilton to form the Swedish band trio Style. In 1989, he started his solo career with his debut album ''Luften darrar'' and has had a number of albums. Natalia Germanou ( el, Ναταλία Γερμανού; born 22 June 1965 ) is a Greek songwriter, television hostess, radio producer and journalist. Germanou has written lyrics for many popular singers such as Anna Vissi, Despina Vandi, Mihalis Hatzigiannis, Notis Sfakianakis, Natasa Theodoridou, Labis Livieratos, Katy Garbi and many more. Alexander "Alex P" Papaconstantinou (Greek: Αλέξανδρος "Άλεξ" Παπακωνσταντίνου; born 29 December 1979 in Brännkyrka, Sweden) is a Greek-Swedish songwriter and music producer.
