Md Zakir Hossain (judge)
Md. Zakir Hossain is a Justice of the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. He is the former register general of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. Early life Hossain was born on 1 January 1963. He did his bachelor of law, master of law, and Ph.D. from the University of Dhaka. He has another master of law from the International Maritime Law Institute. Career Hossain became an advocate of the Dhaka District Court on 26 October 1987. Hossain was appointed the acting register of the Bangladesh Supreme Court on 17 October 2017. In March 2018, following the recommendation of Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, Hossain was made the register general of Bangladesh Supreme Court by the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. In April 2019, Hossain issued a circular which stated that the statements of rape victims can only be taken by female magistrates. The University of Dhaka (also known as Dhaka University, or DU) is a public research university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is the oldest university in Bangladesh. The Supreme Court of Bangladesh ( bn, বাংলাদেশ সুপ্রীম কোর্ট) is the highest court of law in Bangladesh. It is composed of the High Court Division and the Appellate Division, and was created by Part VI Chapter I (article 94) of the Constitution of Bangladesh adopted in 1972. International Maritime Law Institute
The IMO International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI) was established in 1988 under the auspices of the International Maritime Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations. Its mission is to train specialists in maritime law. The Institute is currently headquartered in Malta, on the campus of the University of Malta. Syed Mahmud Hossain
Syed Mahmud Hossain (born 31 December 1954) was the 22nd Chief Justice of Bangladesh. He retired on 30 December 2021. Early life and education Hossain was born in 1954 to Syed Mustafa Ali (d. 2018) and Begum Kawsar Jahan. He completed his education life in Comilla town. The secondary school certificate from Comilla Zilla School in 1972, HSC examination from Comilla Victoria College in 1974 and passed from the same college in 1976 in the BSc examination. In 1980, he obtained LLB degree from Comilla Law College. He completed six-month long "Commonwealth Young Lawyers Course" from the School of Oriental African Studies and the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, both part of University of London. E-commerce in Bangladesh refers to the electronic commerce sector of Bangladesh business. History In 2009 Bangladesh Bank approved online payment and in 2013 the bank approved the use of debit and credit card for online payment. The eCommerce Association of Bangladesh is the trade body for eCommerce in Bangladesh. According to the association, there are 8,000 eCommerce pages in Facebook alone. The growth of the industry has been inhibited by low usage of credit and debit cards, and the unavailability of PayPal. In 2016 the government of Bangladesh opened eCommerce sites for every district in the country. The same year, FBCCI recommended removal of tax on eCommerce. Eden Mohila College
Eden Mohila College (known as Eden College), is a women's college in Azimpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 1873 in the Farashganj area of Dhaka.
