Md. Ashfaqul Islam is a judge of the Appellate Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Early life Islam was born on 15 July 1959. His father was A. K. M. Nurul Islam, former Vice President of Bangladesh. He completed his bachelor's degree and masters in law from the University of Dhaka. Career Islam became a lawyer of the district court in 1983. In 1985, Islam became a lawyer of the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. On 27 August 2003, Islam was appointed an additional judge of the High Court Division. Islam was made a permanent judge of the High Court Division 27 August 2005. On 14 December 2010, Islam and Justice SM Emdadul Hoque issued a verdict against Gulshan Club ordering them to pay taxes and rejected it's claim to tax exempt status. The High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh ( bn, হাইকোর্ট ডিভিশন) popularly known as the 'High Court' is one of the two divisions of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, the other division being the Appellate Division. It consists of the Chief Justice of Bangladesh and the Judges of the High Court Division. The High Court Division exercises both original jurisdiction and appellate jurisdiction in civil and criminal matters. The prime jurisdiction of it is the Writ Jurisdiction, pursuant to which it is empowered under article 102 of the Constitution of Bangladesh to issue writ of certiorari, mandamus, quo warranto, prohibition and habeas corpus. Andaleeve Rahman Partho (born 20 April 1974) is the president of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party, a Member of Parliament and the principal of British School of Law in Dhaka. Early life Andaleeve Rahman was born on 20 April 1974 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His father, Naziur Rahman Manzur, was a politician and former minister who served as the founding chairman of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party and as the Mayor of Dhaka. They belonged to a Bengali Muslim family known as the Taluqdars of Balia in Bhola Island. Through his paternal grandfather Bazlur Rahman Taluqdar, Andaleeve Rahman was a direct descendant of Munga Khan, an eighteenth-century who arrived in Bengal from Garmsir in Afghanistan who settled in the village of Saluka in greater Barisal. Md. Iqbal Kabir, also known as Md Iqbal Kabir Lytton, is a judge on the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. Early life Kabir was born on 10 November 1967. He completed his master's degree in law from the University of Dhaka. Career Kabir became a lawyer of the district courts on 10 May 1992. On 24 January 1995, Kabir became a lawyer of the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. Masud Rana
Masud Rana is a fictional character created in 1966 by the writer Qazi Anwar Hussain, who featured him in 469 books (321 novels and 6 short stories). Hussain created the adult spy-thriller series Masud Rana, at first modeled after James Bond, but expanded widely. So far 469 books have been published in this series which has gained a lot of popularity in Bangladesh. Written from the 1960s and continuing to present day, books are published almost every three months by Sheba Prokashoni, one of the most popular publishing houses of Bangladesh.
