Muhammad Zahirul Islam is a retired Major General of Bangladesh Army . He is now in LPR. Before that, he served as Master General of Ordnance at Army Headquarters. Prior to join there, he was commander of the logistics area of Dhaka Cantonment. He is the chief patron of Baridhara Scholars' International School and College. He was the vice-president of Kurmitola Golf Club. He was the senior vice-president of Bangladesh Golf Federation. Career Islam had served as a faculty at the National Defence College of Bangladesh Army. Bangladesh Army

The 9th Infantry Division ("The Lightning Division") is a formation of the Bangladesh Army, based in Savar. It is the first infantry division of the Bangladesh Army that was raised post- Independence. Master General Of Ordnance
The Master-General of the Ordnance (MGO) was a very senior British military position from 1415 to 2013 (except 1855–1895 and 1939–1958) with some changes to the name, usually held by a serving general.
