Md. Emdadul Huq is a judge of the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. Early life Huq was born on 16 October 1956. He completed his bachelor's degree in law from the University of Rajshahi. Career After Huq graduated, he worked as a lawyer in the Rajshahi District Court on 11 March 1985. On 13 April 1987, Huq became a lawyer of the High Court Division. Huq was appointed a lawyer of the Appellate Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court on 27 February 2001. Huq was appointed an Additional Judge in the High Court Division on 23 August 2004 and was made a permanent judge on 23 August 2006. Huq was one of 19 judges who filed an appeal with the Bangladesh Supreme Court on 28 July 2008 challenging a High Court verdict which ordered the government to appoint 10 permanent judges to the High Court Division whose appointment was not confirmed by the previous Bangladesh Nationalist Party government. The High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh ( bn, হাইকোর্ট ডিভিশন) popularly known as the 'High Court' is one of the two divisions of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, the other division being the Appellate Division. It consists of the Chief Justice of Bangladesh and the Judges of the High Court Division. The High Court Division exercises both original jurisdiction and appellate jurisdiction in civil and criminal matters. Dhamrai ( bn, ধামরাই) is an upazila of Dhaka District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Geography Dhamrai Upazila is located about 40 kilometers northwest of the capital city of Dhaka. It is one of the six Upazilas of the Dhaka district. The Digital Security Act, 2018 is a digital security law in Bangladesh. This act was passed with the aim of preventing the spread of racism; sectarianism; extremism; terrorist propaganda; and hatred against religious or ethnic minorities through social media, print media or any other electronic media. Any content over the internet or any other media that was deemed pornographic or otherwise inappropriate by the government could be punished by fines or prison terms of various lengths. It is a controversial law and it was feared that the law could be used to suppress dissenters against the government due to some of its provisions that are vague and ambiguous, open to interpretation or prone to abuse. FRM Nazmul Ahasan (15 February 1955 – 4 February 2022) was a Bangladeshi lawyer and Judge of the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court. Early life Ahasan was born on 15 February 1955, in Pakistan. After finishing his masters he completed his law degree. Career On 18 March 1986, Ahasan started working as a lawyer in the District Courts. Ahasan became a lawyer in the High Court Division on 22 January 1994 and on 13 December 2009 the Appellate Division. He was a member of the Central Committee of Communist Party of Bangladesh. Nizam Uddin Hazari () is an Awami League politician and member of parliament from Feni-2. Early life Uddin was born on 1 January 1966. He has a B.com degree. His mother was Dil Afroze Begum and his father was Zainal Abedin. Career Uddin started politics while he was a student of Chittagong Govt. Commerce College.
