Md. Abu Zafor Siddique
Md. Abu Zafor Siddique is a judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Early life Siddique was born on 2 January 1959. He completed his bachelor's degree and masters in law from the University of Rajshahi. Career Siddique became a lawyer of the District Courts in 1985. In 1998, Siddique became a lawyer of the High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court. On 18 April 2010, Siddique was appointed a judge of the High Court Division. Siddique was made a permanent judge of the High Court Division on 15 April 2012. In November 2017, Siddique, Justice Md. Shawkat Hossain, and Justice Md. Nazrul Islam Talukder issued a verdict in the Bangladesh Rifles revolt case. Bangladesh Rifles Revolt
The Bangladesh Rifles revolt (also referred to as the Pilkhana tragedy) was a mutiny staged on 25 and 26 February 2009 in Dhaka by a section of the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR), a paramilitary force mainly tasked with guarding the borders of Bangladesh. The rebelling BDR soldiers took over the BDR headquarters in Pilkhana, killing BDR director-general Shakil Ahmed along with 56 other army officers and 17 civilians. They also fired on civilians, held many of their officers and their families hostage, vandalised property and looted valuables . By the second day, unrest had spread to 12 other towns and cities. The mutiny ended as the mutineers surrendered their arms and released the hostages after a series of discussions and negotiations with the government. Nizam Uddin Hazari () is an Awami League politician and member of parliament from Feni-2. Early life Uddin was born on 1 January 1966. He has a B.com degree. His mother was Dil Afroze Begum and his father was Zainal Abedin. Career Uddin started politics while he was a student of Chittagong Govt. Commerce College. In the 1990s Uddin worked under AJM Nasir Uddin in Chittagong. Uddin was sentenced to jail on an arms case on 22 March 1992. He returned to Feni in 1997 to work under Joynal Hazari.
