Alan McLeary
Alan McLeary (born 6 October 1964) is an English football former defender. He spent the majority of his career at Millwall, but also had spells at Charlton Athletic and Bristol City, as well as loan spells at Sheffield United and Wimbledon. In 1998, McLeary was appointed assistant manager at Millwall, and in May 1999, he was promoted to co-manager alongside longtime teammate Keith Stevens. The duo were sacked in September 2000. Howard Donald McLeary (born January 2, 1948) is an American politician and former college football player and coach. He was a member of the Tennessee Senate representing the 27th district, which is composed of Madison, Gibson, and Carroll counties. Early life and education Born in Humboldt, Tennessee, McLeary attended North Side High School in nearby Jackson. McLeary then attended the University of Tennessee and played on the Tennessee Volunteers football team at running back from 1968 to 1970. At Tennessee, McLeary rushed for 907 yards and 10 touchdowns and added 198 yards and one touchdown on receiving. McLeary graduated from Tennessee with a B.S. in physical education in 1970 and M.S. in educational administration in 1972. James Robert Ewan McLeary (born 2 April 1981) is a Scottish professional golfer who plays on the Challenge Tour. Career McLeary was born in Peterhead, Scotland. In 2004 he represented Scotland at the Eisenhower Trophy and represented Great Britain and Ireland at the St Andrews Trophy. His team won the St Andrews Trophy and McLeary won the individual event as well. He played college golf at Odessa College and Baylor University in the United States. McLeary reached the final stages of qualifying for the Asian Tour in both 2005 and 2006, but failed to win full playing privileges and played some events with only a partial category. Kindred McLeary
Kindred McLeary (December 3, 1901, Weimar, Texas – May 29, 1949) was an American architect, artist and educator. Education Kindred McLeary studied architecture at the University of Texas and earned his degree in 1927. While teaching at the University of Texas the following year, McLeary entered one of his paintings, ''Cotton'', in a national art exhibit at the Witte Memorial Museum in San Antonio. The painting portrayed an African-American woman reclining in a field of cotton with several men standing around her, one of them strumming a guitar. Some artists and ministers attacked the picture as obscene, but the art curator of the museum defended it and kept it hanging throughout the exhibit, despite the controversy. Career McLeary began teaching architecture at Carnegie Tech in the autumn of 1928. McLeary was also a noted muralist. Marty Lee McLeary (born October 26, 1974) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. McLeary stands at 6' 5", and weighs 210 pounds. He attended Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio. He made his major league debut on August 22, 2004, with the San Diego Padres. From 2006 to 2007, McLeary pitched in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, appearing in nine major league games. On August 31, 2006, McLeary allowed two runs in the top 11th inning against the Chicago Cubs and had the bases loaded when he finished the inning; however, the Pirates scored three runs in the bottom of the inning, giving McLeary his first major league win in their 10–9 victory. Max McLeary
Larry "Max" McLeary (January 11, 1948 – February 11, 2014) was an umpire in minor and independent league baseball. He began his professional umpiring career in the 1970s, working in the New York–Penn League and Eastern League. He suffered an eye injury in January 1977 that necessitated the removal of his eye. Despite his injury, he returned to umpiring games on the amateur level and, eventually, in professional baseball again. He worked in the independent Frontier League for 10 seasons, becoming the only known one-eyed umpire in professional baseball history. He later became general manager of the Cincinnati Steam. He was the main figure in Mike Shannon's 2004 book ''Everything Happens in Chillicothe: A Summer in the Frontier League with Max McLeary, the One-Eyed Umpire''.
