Charles McKee
Charles McKee (born March 14, 1962) is an American sailor and Olympic medalist. He won the ICSA Match Racing National Championship in 1985 with the University of Washington. He competed in the 470 class at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul and received a bronze medal. He competed in the 49er class at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney together with his brother Jonathan McKee, and they won the bronze medal. Hugh McKee
Hugh Wilson McKee (April 23, 1844 – June 11, 1871) was an American naval officer in the 1870s who participated in the United States expedition to Korea in 1871. Early life and military service McKee was born in Lexington, Kentucky to a military family. His father, William R. McKee, was a US Army colonel who had been killed in action commanding the Second Kentucky Regiment in the Battle of Buena Vista during the Mexican–American War. Hugh McKee was appointed to the Naval Academy September 25, 1861 and graduated in 1866. His early duty stations included service in the Practice Squadron and aboard the USS ''Rhode Island'', flagship of the North Atlantic Squadron. Francis Joseph McKee (25 January 1923 – 24 July 1988) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a half-back. He played in the Scottish League for Dundee United in the 1947–48 season, and in the English Football League for Birmingham City and Gillingham between 1948 and 1955. Frances McKee (born 1966) is a Scottish singer and songwriter known best for her work in the Scotland, Scottish indie (music), indie band The Vaselines. Background McKee's involvement with music began as a teenager in the early 1980s when she met Duglas T. Stewart from Bellshill. With McKee and his friends Norman Blake (Scottish musician), Norman Blake and Sean Dickson (musician), Sean Dickson, Stewart formed a group, known by various outrageous names before settling on The Pretty Flowers. The group would play impromptu, happening-style gigs in the local park and at Bellshill's Hattonrigg Hotel. McKee became disillusioned with the group shortly after they settled on The Pretty Flowers name and eventually left. The group later morphed into the BMX Bandits (band), BMX Bandits. Eva McKee (28 July 1890 – 1955) was an Irish craftswoman and designer, known for her involvement with the Irish Decorative Art Association. She was known for producing objects decorated with Celtic designs in a variety of media including leatherwork, jewellery, painted wood, embroidery, ceramics, repoussé metalwork, and block prints. Early life Eva Kathleen McKee was born 28 July 1890, at 32 Lothair Avenue, Belfast. Her parents were James Henry McKee, a builder, and Jane McKee (née Grogan). She began working in the Irish Decorative Art Association (IDAA) in the 1910s, a Belfast craftworkers organisation and later a cooperative society founded by Mina Robinson.
