Barry McGoldrick
Barry McGoldrick (born 29 April 1985) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for the Derry county team, with whom he has won a National League title. He is also the current team captain. At underage level he won the Ulster Minor and All-Ireland Minor Championships with the county. McGoldrick plays club football for Eoghan Rua and has won the Derry Senior Football Championship with the club. He is a dual player in that he also plays hurling for Eoghan Rua, and has in the past also hurled for Derry, winning the Nicky Rackard Cup. David James McGoldrick (born 29 November 1987) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Derby County. He won 14 caps for the Republic of Ireland national team between 2014 and 2020, scoring one international goal. A trainee at Notts County, he made his senior debut in 2004, before being signed by Southampton later in the year. He spent five years with the "Saints", also playing on loan for Notts County in 2005, and both AFC Bournemouth and Port Vale in 2007. He transferred to Nottingham Forest in 2009 for a £1 million fee. Edward John Paul McGoldrick (born 30 April 1965) is an Irish football coach and former professional footballer who is currently the foundation academy manager of Premier League club Crystal Palace. As a player he was a winger and central midfielder, who played in the Football League for Northampton Town, Crystal Palace, Manchester City and Stockport County, and in the Premier League for Arsenal. He also played non-league football for Kettering Town, Nuneaton Borough and Corby Town. McGoldrick was capped for the Republic of Ireland and played in World Cup 94. Joseph Daniel McGoldrick (June 5, 1901 – April 5, 1978) was an American politician and lawyer. He was Comptroller of New York City for nearly nine years. He subsequently was New York State Residential Rent Control Commissioner, founded a law firm, and was chairman of the Department of Political Science at Queens College for a decade. Early life McGoldrick was born in Brooklyn, New York. He had three younger siblings, and his parents were Loretta and Daniel McGoldrick, an accountant. He graduated from Erasmus Hall High School. McGoldrick then attended Columbia University, graduating in 1922 with an A.B. with honors in History and Greek. He was then an instructor in government at Columbia. Kevin McGoldrick (born 12 May 1972) is a Scottish football coach and former player who is the manager of Kirkintilloch Rob Roy. Playing career As a player, he made over 110 appearances as a left winger in the Scottish League for Queen's Park and also played for East Stirlingshire and Morton. Michael John McGoldrick (18 June 1965 – 8 July 1996) was a taxi driver murdered by the Loyalist Volunteer Force during The Troubles in Northern Ireland. Michael McGoldrick (born 26 November 1971, in Manchester, England) is a folk musician who plays Irish flute, uilleann pipes, low whistle and bodhran. He also plays other instruments such as acoustic guitar, cittern, and mandolin. Bands McGoldrick has been a member of several influential bands.
