Evan McEneny
Evan McEneny (born May 22, 1994) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently played for the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League (AHL). Undrafted, he formerly played with the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career McEneny went undrafted in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft after playing only two games for the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League due to a torn ACL suffered in the second game of the season which caused him to miss the remaining games. He later signed with the Vancouver Canucks on September 13, 2012, as an undrafted free agent. On November 20, 2013, McEneny was traded by the Rangers to the Kingston Frontenacs. McEneny spent most of the 2015–16 season, his first professional season, playing with the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL. George McAneny
George McAneny (December 24, 1869 – July 29, 1953), was an American a newspaperman, municipal reformer and advocate of preservation and city planning from New York City. He served as Manhattan Borough President from 1910 to 1913, President of the New York City Council, New York City Board of Aldermen from 1914 to 1916, and New York City Comptroller in 1933. He also held several other positions throughout his career, serving as an executive officer of the New York City Civil Service Commission in 1902, secretary of the National Civil Service Reform League, New York Civil Service Reform League (1894-1902), executive manager of ''The New York Times'' (1916-1921), and president of the Regional Plan Association (1930-1940). The Office of Comptroller of New York City, a position established in 1801, is the chief financial officer and chief auditor of the city agencies and their performance and spending. The comptroller also reviews all city contracts, handles the settlement of litigation claims (amounting to $975 million in 2019), issues municipal bonds, and manages the city's very large pension funds ($240 billion in assets under management as of 2020). The comptroller is elected citywide to a four-year term, and can hold office for two consecutive terms. As of 2021, the comptroller had a staff of 800 people, and a budget of over $100 million. If vacancies were to occur simultaneously in the offices of Mayor of New York City and New York City Public Advocate, the comptroller would become acting mayor.
