Lawrence McCutcheon (born June 2, 1950) is a former American football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Los Angeles Rams from 1972 to 1980, the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks in 1980, and 1981 with the Buffalo Bills, reuniting with former Rams head coach Chuck Knox. He played college football for Colorado State. Early years Born and raised in Plainview, Texas, McCutcheon graduated from Plainview High School in 1968 and played college football at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, then a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). Professional career McCutcheon was selected in the third round of the 1972 NFL Draft by the Rams, the 70th overall pick. Stuart Norman McCutcheon (10 November 1954 – 6 January 2023) was a New Zealand university administrator. Until March 2020 he was Vice-Chancellor of the University of Auckland, New Zealand, at which point he was the longest serving current Vice-Chancellor in New Zealand, having served three five-year terms. He was previously Vice-Chancellor at Victoria University of Wellington, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research) at Massey University. Early life and education Howard Shaw McCutcheon was born in Chicago, Illinois, in October 1921 to Evelyn (Shaw) and John Tinney McCutcheon. Shaw's father, John T. McCutcheon, was an American newspaper editorial cartoonist, war correspondent, and combat artist who worked for the ''Chicago Tribune'' from 1903 until his retirement in 1946 and won a Pulitzer Prize for his 1931 editorial cartoon, "A Wise Economist Asks a Question." McCutcheon had two brothers, John McCutcheon Jr. and Barr McCutcheon. A sister, Evelyn McCutcheon, died in childhood. The McCutcheon family's primary residence was in Lake Forest, Illinois. Robert Hamish McCutcheon (born 1947), known as Sandy McCutcheon is an Australian author, playwright, actor, journalist and broadcaster. Biography McCutcheon was born Brian David Parry in Christchurch, New Zealand, though he did not learn this until 1997, aged 50, when his adoption papers were discovered. When he was nearly three, his parents divorced and he was adopted by another family, who renamed him as Robert, nicknamed Sandy. His adoptive parents denied that he was adopted and told him his early childhood memories were the product of his imagination. Robert George McCutcheon (1841 – 20 October 1918) was an Irish-born Australian politician. He was born in Omagh to John McCutcheon and Margaret Bothwell. His family migrated to Victoria around 1858; Robert spent a year in Calcutta as a printer and then became a journalist in Ballarat and Port Fiary. On 13 December 1867 he married Mary Ebblewhite, a prominent member of the Australian Women's National League; they would have eight children. In 1873 he moved to Melbourne to assume his brother's place in the printing firm Mason, Firth & McCutcheon, which he owned exclusively from 1878. Mark McCutcheon (born May 21, 1984 in Ithaca, New York) is an American former professional ice hockey player. Mark is the son of former Buffalo Sabres Associate Coach and former NHL player Brian McCutcheon. Playing career McCutcheon was drafted 146th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche. Mark played collegiate hockey with Cornell University for four years before he made his professional debut in the 2007–08 season with Avalanche affiliate, the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL. After two seasons with the Monsters, Mark left as a free agent leading the Monsters in games played by a forward with 128. On October 9, 2009, Mark signed with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL for the 2009–10 season. McCutcheon played 3 games with the Steelheads, including scoring the first goal of the season for Idaho, before he was loaned to the Portland Pirates of the AHL on October 23, 2009.
