Frederick McCubbin
Frederick McCubbin (25 February 1855 – 20 December 1917) was an Australian artist, art teacher and prominent member of the Heidelberg School art movement, also known as Australian impressionism. Born and raised in Melbourne, Victoria, McCubbin studied at the National Gallery of Victoria Art School under a number of artists, notably Eugene von Guerard and later George Folingsby. One of his former classmates, Tom Roberts, returned from art training in Europe in 1885, and that summer they established the Box Hill artists' camp, where they were joined by Arthur Streeton and Charles Conder. These artists formed the nucleus of what became known as the Heidelberg School, a ''plein air'' art movement named after Heidelberg, the site of another one of their camps. During this time, he taught at the National Gallery school, and later served as president of both the Victorian Artists' Society and the Australian Art Association. Henry McCubbin
Henry Bell McCubbin (born 15 July 1942) is a Scottish politician. After a career as a film cameraman for television companies, he served one term in the European Parliament for the Labour Party; more recently he has left the party, but remains involved in politics. Early career McCubbin was born in Glasgow and educated at Allan Glen's School. He joined the BBC as a film cameraman, moving to Grampian TV in 1977. He studied at the Open University where he obtained an honours degree. European Parliament At the 1989 European elections, McCubbin was elected as Member of the European Parliament for North East Scotland. He had only 30.6% of the vote, and a lead of only 2,613 over the next candidate. McCubbin concentrated on the fishing industry, which employed many constituents and was profoundly affected by the European Union's Common Fisheries Policy. Megan McCubbin (born 1995) is an English zoologist, conservationist, photographer and television presenter. Biography McCubbin has dyslexia and took Environmental Studies at A-Level. A foundation year in Biological Science led her to study Zoology at the University of Liverpool. Julian Russell McCubbin (January 16, 1935 – June 28, 2018) was an American television and film actor and stunt man. He is best known for his work on ''Sudden Impact'' (1983) and ''High Plains Drifter'' (1973). Early life As a teenager, he excelled in sports at Charleston High School. At Hargrave Military Academy, he was captain of the football and track teams, earning him athletic scholarships at numerous colleges and universities. He chose to accept an offer from Virginia Tech. Robert McCubbin (16 June 1902 – 28 February 1975) was a Liberal party member of the House of Commons of Canada. He was born in Springbank, Ontario and became a farmer by career.
