McCarthy-Dundon
The McCarthy-Dundon's is a criminal gang based in Limerick City, Ireland. Their main base is Ballinacurra Weston on Limerick's southside but they also have a strong presence in Southill and in the northside suburb of Moyross. The gang, involved in drug dealing, extortion and armed robbery, have been central players in the Limerick feud, which has claimed up to 13 lives. The feud, which involves several criminal families, mainly the McCarthy-Dundons, the Ryans and the Keane-Collopy gang from St. Mary's Park, has been ongoing since 2000. The gang have also been responsible for the high-profile murders of several innocent people unconnected to gangland, including night club bouncer Brian Fitzgerald, shot dead in 2002, the murder of Shane Geoghegan, shot in a case of mistaken identity in 2008 and businessman Roy Collins, who was murdered in 2009. Limerick Feud
The Limerick feud is a feud between rival criminal gangs in Limerick, Limerick City, Ireland. The feud started between two criminals in the year 2000 and then spread to involve several criminal families, mainly the Keane-Collopy gang from St. Mary's Park (Limerick), St. Mary's Park and the McCarthy-Dundon gang from Ballinacurra Weston. Shane Geoghegan (7 March 1980 – 9 November 2008) was an Irish rugby player for Garryowen Football Club, Garryowen who was shot and killed in a case of mistaken identity as part of a gang feud in Dooradoyle, a suburb in the city of Limerick, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The murder took place in the early hours of Sunday morning, 9 November 2008. He had no links with organised crime gangs. Keane-Collopy
The Keane-Collopy gang is a criminal organisation based in Limerick City, Ireland. Its members are major suppliers of drugs in the Mid-West region and have been heavily involved in the Limerick feud since 2000, when an attempt was made on the life of gang leader Christy Keane, by Eddie Ryan. The feud, which mainly involves the Keane-Collopys, the Ryans and the McCarthy-Dundon gang, has resulted in hundreds of violent incidents including stabbings, shootings and bomb attacks and the deaths of up to twenty people. The Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) ( ga, An Biúró um Shócmhainní Coiriúla) is a law enforcement agency in Ireland. Killing Of Baiba Saulite
Baiba Saulite was a mother of two originally from Latvia who was shot dead outside her home in Swords, Dublin on 19 November 2006. Background Her children were taken from the Republic of Ireland by her former partner 'Mr A' in December 2004 and returned in September 2005. He had pleaded guilty to abducting the children and was sentenced to two years imprisonment. At the time of the killing he was already serving a four-year sentence for his part in a plan to export stolen cars to the Middle East. After his conviction, Baiba wrote a twelve-page victim impact statement saying that she was very worried for her safety. She was shot dead five days later. Nobody was ever convicted of her murder.
