Chris McCarrell (born January 9, 1991) is an American theater and television actor and singer. He is best known for portraying Marius Pontmercy in the Broadway revival of ''Les Misérables,'' and for originating the titular character in '' The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical'' in its Off-Broadway premiere, 2019 tour, and Broadway production. Early life and education McCarrell grew up in Aurora, Ohio. His mother, DeAnna McCarrell, worked as a guidance counselor in Aurora City Schools, and his father, Bernie McCarrell, a wood shop teacher in Ravenna, Ohio. McCarrell attended University School, an all boys private high school in Hunting Valley, OH. Alexander Patch
General Alexander McCarrell Patch (November 23, 1889 – November 21, 1945) was a senior United States Army officer who fought in both world wars, rising to rank of general. During World War II, he commanded U.S. Army and Marine Corps forces during the Guadalcanal Campaign in the Pacific, and the Seventh Army on the Western Front in Europe. With an invasion of Japan still an apparent likelihood, Patch returned to the U.S. in August 1945 to take charge of the Fourth Army headquartered at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He died three months later in November at age 55, his health having been ravaged during his time in the Pacific early in the war. "Sandy" Patch and Lucian Truscott were the only two U.S. Army officers on active service during World War II to command a division, corps, and field army. Marion McCarrell Scott
Marion McCarrell Scott (21 August 1843 - 23 May 1922) was an American educator and government advisor in Meiji period Japan. Biography Scott was born in Barren County, Kentucky, and graduated from the University of Virginia during the American Civil War. After the war, he moved to California, where he worked as a teacher, and where he met Mori Arinori, an envoy from the Meiji government of Japan, who offered him a post in Japan as a foreign advisor. Scott arrived in Tokyo in 1871, and taught English language at the Daigaku Nankō, the predecessor to Tokyo Imperial University, and later at Tokyo University of Education, where he developed a training curriculum for Japanese teachers based on western concepts of pedagogy including the theories of Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi. Nicholas McCarrell (born April 6, 1982), professionally known as Aqua, is an American record producer and composer of film and television scores. As a record producer, he has most notably worked with Roc-a-fella Records artists Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Beanie Sigel. His scoring credits include ''Entourage'' and ''George Lopez''. Early career Aqua began his music career as an intern at MTV News until August 2001. Mac Cearbhaill
Mac Cearbhaill is a Gaelic Irish clan belonging to the Three Collas kinship group, who were during the 11th and 12th centuries, kings of Airgíalla. Their name has been Anglicised as MacCarroll, Carroll, Carvill, MacCarville and various other spellings. The clan are associated especially with south-eastern Ulster and northern Leinster. They have numerous descendants in County Monaghan, County Louth, County Down, County Tyrone and elsewhere. In later times they were known as prominent musicians. Graeme McCarrel
Graeme McCarrel (born November 27, 1960) is a Canadian curler from Brampton, Ontario. He is a former Brier and World Champion. In 1980, as a junior, McCarrel played third for John Kawaja. They lost in the finals of the Canadian Junior Curling Championships that year. After juniors, McCarrel moved to play with veteran Paul Savage. McCarrel won his first provincial title in 1988, playing second for Savage. McCarrel then moved to play third for Wayne Middaugh. With Middaugh, McCarrel won three more provincial championships, in 1998, 2001 and 2005. In 1998 the team won the Brier, and the World Curling Championships.
