Archibald McBryde
Archibald McBryde (September 28, 1766February 15, 1837) was a United States House of Representatives, Congressional Representative from North Carolina. He was born in Wigtownshire, Scotland, immigrated at an early age with his parents, and settled in Carbonton, North Carolina, Carbonton, North Carolina. McBryde studied under private teachers and later studied law. He was admitted to bar Association, the bar and served as Court clerk, clerk of the superior court of Moore County, North Carolina, Moore County 1792–1816. Ashley McBryde
Ashley McBryde (born July 29, 1983) is an American country music singer–songwriter. Raised in Arkansas, she was drawn to various types of music from a young age. She also developed a passion for writing songs and later moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a music career. Between 2006 and 2011, McBryde released a pair of self-released albums. Her 2016 extended play (EP) titled '' Jalopies & Expensive Guitars'' drew attention from country artist Eric Church. His support helped her gain a country music recording contract with Warner Music Nashville. In 2017, the label released her debut single "A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega". The song was followed by her corresponding studio release ''Girl Going Nowhere'' (2018). Ian McBryde is an Australian poet. He was born in 1953 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada but has been a long time Australian resident. He has published ten books of poems and three audio CDs of spoken word poetry and original music A widely admired poet in Australia his most recent, and tenth book, a new and selected publication, was highly anticipated by his contemporaries. We the Mapless: new and selected poems was launched in Melbourne, Australia, at Collected Works Bookshop in February 2017 and at The Queensland Poetry Festival at the Judith Wright Centre for Contemporary Arts in August, 2017. Career In addition to writing poetry, McBryde has also painted and sketched, and spent time as a drummer in progressive jazz-rock bands. John McLaren McBryde
John McLaren McBryde (January 1, 1841 – March 20, 1923) was the fifth president of Virginia Tech, serving from July 1, 1891 to September 1, 1907. McBryde was born in Abbeville, South Carolina. He entered South Carolina College in 1858 at age 17 before going on to the University of Virginia. In 1861, he returned to Abbeville where he joined the Confederate Army. McBryde was present at the opening bombardment of Fort Sumter, South Carolina and fought in a Virginia cavalry unit. He later served as division chief of the Confederate War Tax Office in Richmond Virginia. After the war until 1867, McBryde farmed in Buckingham County, Virginia until he moved to large farm near Charlottesville, Virginia. McBryde then went to teach at South Carolina College where he served as faculty chair and then as president from 1883–1891. Sydney Ronald McBryde (October 23, 1941 – June 21, 1989) was a politician in Manitoba, Canada. He was a New Democratic Party of Manitoba, New Democratic member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba from 1969 to 1981, and served in the Cabinet (government), cabinet of Edward Schreyer. McBryde Garden
McBryde Garden (approx. ) is a botanical garden located on the south shore of Kauai, Hawaii. It is one of five gardens of the non-profit National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG). The garden is situated above Lāwai Bay, in a valley transected by the Lāwai Stream. Queen Emma of Hawaii resided above this valley for a short interval, and a modest house that was perhaps her residence has subsequently been moved to the valley floor and renovated. The valley was purchased by the McBryde family in the late 19th century for a sugarcane plantation. This first garden of the National Tropical Botanical Garden (then Pacific Tropical Botanical Garden) was started in 1970 with the purchase of by the institution and has since expanded.
