M'Bour or Mbour ( ar, مبور; Wolof: ''Mbuur''), is a city in the Thiès Region of Senegal. It lies on the Petite Côte, approximately eighty kilometers south of Dakar. Youssou Diagne
Youssou Diagne (29 August 1938 – 18 November 2022) was a Senegalese politician who was the seventh President of the National Assembly, from 2001 to 2002. Biography Born in Mbour, he studied at the Catholic school in Popenguine and then in Diourbel before becoming a teacher in Gossas. He continued to train in management and finance and secured a position with the Air Afrique airline. In 1992 he joined the Senegalese Democratic Party, which was part of the Sopi Coalition which won the 2001 parliamentary elections, Diagne becoming the seventh president of the National Assembly. But, after losing in the local elections in Ngaparou the following year, he was forced to resign his presidency on 12 June 2002 to be succeeded by Pape Diop. Viviane (born Viviane Chidid) is a Senegalese pop singer who is the former backing vocalist and former sister-in-law of Youssou N'Dour. Viviane is known as the queen or reine of Senegalese music. On March 31, 2012 the label Wonda Music of producer Jerry 'Wonder' Duplessis signed her to his recording label. Since then, Viviane has been working with Jerry Wonda and her album was released in 2015. Saint Louis or Saint-Louis ( wo, Ndar), is the capital of Senegal's Saint-Louis Region. Thiès is a region of western Senegal. The capital is also called Thiès. Geography Thiès has two coastlines, one in the north with the Grande Côte housing the Niayes vegetable market, one to the south with the Petite Côte, one of the tourist areas of Senegal.
