Draginja "Draga" Obrenović ( sr-cyr, Драгиња "Драга" Обреновић; 11 September 1867 – ), formerly Mašin (Машин), was the Queen consort of Serbia as the wife of King Aleksandar Obrenović. She was formerly a lady-in-waiting to Aleksandar's mother, Queen Natalija (until 1897). Gwendolyn Masin (born 17 November 1977) is a Dutch and Irish violinist, author, and educator. Early life Masin was born in Amsterdam. She began to play the piano at the age of 3, and took up the violin at the age of 5. Within her initial year of schooling, she gave her first public performance at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest. At the age of 11, she performed her first recital in Ireland at the National Concert Hall, Dublin. Shortly thereafter she appeared on the popular television program, '' The Late Late Show''. Masin began learning the violin in the class of Coosje Wijzenbeek. Following a move to South Africa, she continued her studies with her parents in Cape Town. Josef Mašín
Josef Mašín (26 August 1896 – 30 June 1942) was an army officer of Czechoslovakia and member of the underground resistance against the Nazis. He was the father of Josef and Ctirad Mašín. Biography Josef Mašín was born in Lošany near Kolín. He was a member of the Czechoslovak Legions fighting in Russia (1916–1921) and later an officer in the Czechoslovak Army (commander of an artillery regiment). After the occupation of Czechoslovakia by Nazi Germany he, together with Josef Balabán and Václav Morávek, formed a resistance group concentrated on intelligence gathering and sabotage. While more resistance groups existed, this one, aptly named '' Tři Králové'' (''Three Kings''), is the most known among the Czech public. Mašín was captured by the Gestapo on 13 May 1941. Ctirad Mašín (August 11, 1930 – August 13, 2011) and Josef Mašín (born March 8, 1932) were brothers who put up armed resistance against the communist regime in Czechoslovakia during the period 1951–1953. George Gabriel Masin (born March 31, 1947) is an American Olympic epee fencer who attended New York University from 1964 to 1968. He began fencing in September 1964 as a walk-on on the NYU fencing team. In March 1967, he won the ECAC individual épée championship, and later that month won the NCAA individual épée championship and helped NYU win the overall fencing team championship. In 1968, he finished second in the ECAC individual épée championships and fourth in the NCAA individual championships, and helped NYU finish second in the overall fencing team championship. He has been a member of the New York Athletic Club since 1969.
