Mazibul Hoque
Mujibul Haque Mujib (born 31 May 1947) is a Bangladeshi politician and the incumbent Jatiya Sangsad member representing Comilla-11 constituency since 2009. He served as the Minister of Railways during 2012–2018. Early life Mujib was born on 31 May 1947 in Basuara village of 4th Sreepur Union under Chauddagram upazila of Comilla district. Comilla Victoria Government College is a college in Comilla, Bangladesh. It is one of the oldest and renowned colleges in Comilla as well as in Chittagong division. The college is located beside of Ranir Dighi on 32 acres of land including its intermediate and honors section. History Fazlul Karim was the first Muslim teacher of this college in 1937. He later became the Vice Principal of the college in 1958 until his retirement in 1972 when the college was made a government college. Academics At present, the college has 15,000 students and 147 teachers, of whom 36 are women. Freedom fighters Many students of Comilla Victoria College joined the Bangladesh liberation war in 1971. The Jatiya Sangsad ( bn, জাতীয় সংসদ, lit=National Parliament, translit=Jatiyô Sôngsôd), often referred to simply as the ''Sangsad'' or JS and also known as the House of the Nation, is the supreme legislative body of Bangladesh. The current parliament of Bangladesh contains 350 seats, including 50 seats reserved exclusively for women. Elected occupants are called Member of Parliament, or MP. Abdul Gafur Bhuiyan is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and a former Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Comilla-11 constituency during 2001–2006. Career Bhuiyan was elected to Parliament in 2001 from Comilla-11 as a candidate of Bangladesh Nationalist Party. On 1 November 2006, his activists fought against his political rivals and burned down the home of Kamruzzaman, his rival. A local leader of Islami Chhatra Shibir, Mohammad Shahjahan, was killed in the fighting.
