Mayyas
The Mayyas () are a Lebanese all-female alternative precision dance group. The company has 36 dancers, and their routines are choreographed by Nadim Cherfan. The group's name means "the proud walk of a lioness" in Arabic. In 2019, the Mayyas reached the semifinals of '' Britain's Got Talent: The Champions'' and took first place in ''Arabs Got Talent''. They won season 17 of ''America's Got Talent'' in 2022. The Mayyas also received judge Sofía Vergara's Golden Buzzer of the contest. Following the group's ''America's Got Talent'' win, they were praised on Twitter by Lebanese celebrities, as well as caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and the Lebanese army command. The seventeenth season of the American talent show competition series ''America's Got Talent'' premiered on NBC on May 31, 2022, and concluded on September 14, 2022. On January 21, 2023, American singer Beyoncé was asked to perform for an invitation-only crowd at Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah to commemorate the unveiling of a new luxury resort hotel, Atlantis The Royal. It was to be her first live performance since 2018. Beyoncé was reportedly paid over $24 million for the show, making it the highest-paying private concert in history, according to Forbes. The ballad-heavy show was part of a three-day launch event for the hotel, in which journalists, celebrities, and influencers were invited. Despite having a no-phone policy, to prevent unlawful recordings, attempts to enforce these (and other) security measures largely went unnoticed, as many attendees filmed the concert successfully and uploaded the videos online. ''Arabs Got Talent'' ( ar, أرابز غوت تالنت) is an Arab reality television talent show broadcast by MBC 1 in the Arab world; it is produced by the MBC and was first broadcast on 14 January 2011.
