It is a charitable organisation that opened in October 2002. It is located in a terraced house in north London, and provides a one-off stay of five days and four nights for up to four guests at a time. Contact is generally severed following a stay, although help is provided for guests regarding their long-term wellbeing after Maytree. Aims and objectives Maytree aims to support people in suicidal crisis. It provides a non medical environment where people who are feeling suicidal can rest, reflect and talk confidentially. The idea behind Maytree is that people who are in a suicidal crisis are able to come to a place where they can feel safe and secure, but also a place where they can talk through their problems. 	Maytree (band) Maytree (메이트리) is a South Korean five-member a cappella group. History Formation of the group (2000-2006) The group was started in 2000 by the members of the university a cappella club called "Gigahitz" where they created a 6 member group called "Mi wansung (美완성, a pun on the korean word that means incomplete and describes that they are beautifully complete.)." Three members of this original lineup left the group for personal reasons, and three new members Kim Jung-hoon (then baritone) Park Ji-eun (then soprano) and Choi Kyung-young (then tenor) joined the group to form their first lineup as 6-member group Maytree led by Jang Sang-in and Choi Hong-seok and released their first album "Maybe" in 2005. History The company was formed in 2008 by owner Gary Hawthorne, who took over the Bolton operations of Tyrer Bus, who first started operating in Bolton in 2007. The company had over 35 routes and ran in the Bolton and Wigan areas. Several of its services were run on behalf of Transport for Greater Manchester, including Bolton's Metroshuttle service, which Maytree ran from January 2010 until December 2012. On 1 March 2013, Manchester Community Transport acquired Maytree for an undisclosed figure, with Maytree becoming a trading subsidy of MCT. Despite the takeover, Maytree Travel services were suspended on 4 April 2013 with replacements for tendered services obtained by Transport for Greater Manchester.
