Mayfield Secondary School
Mayfield Secondary School is located in Caledon, Ontario, Canada. It is one of two Regional Arts Schools in the Peel District School Board. Regional Arts Program Four disciplines of art are hosted at Mayfield: drama, dance, music, and visual arts. Each has its own night to showcase the talents of the students at a junior (grades 9 and 10) and senior (grades 11 and 12) level. Their improv team also competes in various National competitions. Jazz, classical, and alternative music styles are offered. Dance Program Mayfield's dance program, part of the Regional Arts Program, accepts 50-60 students per year for the four-year program. It includes theoretical (dance history, culture, important figures in the dance world, the dance industry and different styles of dance) and practical components about the program. Caledon (; 2021 population 76,581) is a town in the Regional Municipality of Peel in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. Dave Greszczyszyn (born September 18, 1979) is a Canadian skeleton racer who has competed since 2007. Greszczyszyn is a two-time Canadian national champion, had four top-10 finishes in the 2014–15 Skeleton World Cup, and finished 11th at the 2015 FIBT World Championships. He also won five races in the Skeleton-Europacup. Career In 2008, Greszczyszyn earned a spot on the North American Cup Circuit and moved to Calgary to train full-time. Ian Williams (born June 17, 1979) is a Canadian poet and fiction writer. Nicholas Lindsay (born September 3, 1992) is a Canadian soccer player who began his career at the academy level with TFC Academy in the Canadian Soccer League (CSL) in 2009.
