Mayday Parade (album)
''Mayday Parade'' is the third studio album by American rock band Mayday Parade. It was released by Fearless on October 4, 2011. The album debuted at number 12 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' 200, selling near to 27,000 copies in its first week, becoming the band's second highest charted album to date. Background and production In March 2009 it was announced Mayday Parade had signed to Atlantic. While working on their major label debut, '' Anywhere but Here'' (2009), Atlantic expected the band to make a pop album. While the band attempted to follow this direction, they were weighed down by "so much overbearing pressure", according to guitarist Brooks Betts. Vocalist Derek Sanders later recalled that "there was a lot of outside influence" from Atlantic that resulted in "a lot of co-writes". Mayday Parade is an American Rock music, rock band from Tallahassee, Florida. Their debut EP ''Tales Told by Dead Friends'' was released in 2006, and sold over 50,000 copies without any label support. In July 2007, Mayday Parade released their debut album ''A Lesson in Romantics''. After signing to Fearless Records, Fearless in 2006, the band also signed onto a major label with Atlantic Records, Atlantic in 2009. Sparks the Rescue is an American rock band from Maine. They formed when members of three high school bands, Pozer, Short of April, and Two Girls Later, converged. Their debut EP, ''Stumbling Skyward,'' was released independently in 2005 with McAllister and O'Connell sharing main vocal duties. The band released the ''Hey, Mr. Allure'' EP in 2006, which saw the addition of lead vocalist Alex Roy. On February 6, 2007, Sparks the Rescue released their junior EP, ''The Secrets We Can't Keep,'' after signing to Double Blind Music. This release saw the departure of their keyboardist. The iTunes Store is a digital media store operated by Apple Inc. It opened on April 28, 2003, as a result of Steve Jobs' push to open a digital marketplace for music. As of April 2020, iTunes offered 60 million songs, 2.2 million apps, 25,000 TV shows, and 65,000 films. When it opened, it was the only legal digital catalog of music to offer songs from all five major record labels. The iTunes Store is available on most Apple devices, including the Mac (inside the Music app), the iPhone, the iPad, the iPod touch, and the Apple TV, as well as on Windows (inside iTunes). Heroes for Hire are a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The team first appeared in ''Power Man and Iron Fist'' #54 (December 1978), and was created by Ed Hannigan and Lee Elias. The Postelles are four-piece rock band hailing from New York City. They formed at Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The band released their debut album, ''The Postelles'', on June 7, 2011. It was produced by Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes. The album was recorded at Quad Studios and Looking Glass Studios both in New York, and mixed by John O'Mahony in the Electric Lady Studios. The Maine (band)
The Maine is an American rock band from Tempe, Arizona. Formed in 2007, the group consists of lead vocalist, guitarist and pianist John O'Callaghan, lead guitarist Jared Monaco, bass guitarist Garrett Nickelsen, drummer Patrick Kirch, and rhythm guitarist Kennedy Brock. The band is joined by touring member Adam Simons, as of 2018, who plays keys, rhythm and lead guitar as well as percussion. Warped Tour
The Warped Tour was a traveling rock tour that toured the United States plus three or four stops in Canada annually each summer from 1995 until 2019. It was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival to date in North America. Following the first Warped Tour, the skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became the tour’s main sponsor, when it then became known as the Vans Warped Tour. Vans toured Australia in 1998-2002 and again in 2013.
