Maya Arusi
Maya Arusi ( he, מאיה ערוסי; born October 17, 1982, in Haifa) is an Israeli taekwondo practitioner, who competed in the women's flyweight category. She claimed two medals (a silver and a bronze) in the 51-kg division at the Trelleborg Open, and became the first Israeli athlete in history to compete in taekwondo in the Olympics at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Arusi trained throughout her career for Amos Lod Taekwondo Club, under head coach and master Alexei Orehov. Arusi qualified as a lone taekwondo fighter for the Israeli squad in the women's flyweight class (49 kg) at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, by placing second behind Spain's Brigitte Yagüe and granting a berth from the European Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Baku, Azerbaijan. Ivett Gonda
Ivett Gonda (born April 28, 1986 in Jászberény, Hungary) is a Hungarian-born Canadian retired taekwondo competitor. She moved to Canada when she was four. From 1995 to mid 2013 Gonda competed professionally for Canada until she decided to compete for her native country, Hungary. Though currently competing for another nation, Ivett still continues to train and live in Canada. Career She began taekwondo in 1995. She was the second Canadian ever to make the Olympic team in 2004. Ron Atias
Ron Atias (רון אטיאס; born 19 April 1995) is an Israeli Olympic taekwondo athlete who represented Israel at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Taekwondo career Atias, who started in the sport at the age of seven, trains in Ramla, Israel, which is his hometown. His club is Sharabi Martial Arts. In 2008, he won a gold medal in the Youth Croatia Taekwondo Open in Zagreb. In 2009, Atias won a gold medal at the Cadet European Taekwondo Championships, in 2010 a gold medal at the senior Austrian Open in Innsbruck, and in 2011 a silver medal at the Junior European Taekwondo Championships. Bat El Gaterer
Bat-El Gatterer ( he, בת אל גטרר; born February 4, 1988) is an Israeli Olympic taekwondo athlete. She was the women's 2010 European featherweight champion. Biography Gatterer was born in and lived in the Israeli settlement of Kokhav Ya'akov, on a hilltop in the West Bank. In 1984, the family moved to Kokhav Ya'akov, a 20-minute drive from Jerusalem, where she trains. She is the eldest of six children, and served in the Israel Defense Forces for two years.
