Maximiliano Velázquez
Maximiliano Nicolás Velázquez (born 12 September 1980 in Concepción del Uruguay, Entre Ríos) is an Argentine football left back. He currently plays for Aldosivi in the Primera B Nacional. Career Velázquez started his professional career in 1998 with Ferro Carril Oeste in the Argentine Primera División. Although the club were relegated at the end of the 1999-2000 season, Velázquez opted to stay with them. In 2002 the club suffered a further relegation into the Regionalised 3rd division. Velázquez again opted to stay with the club and helped them to secure promotion back to the 2nd level by winning the 2002-03 Primera B Metropolitana championship. In 2003 Velázquez returned to the Argentine primera after his transfer to Talleres de Córdoba, but despite finishing 3rd in the Clausura 2004 the club were relegated due to their poor points average and a playoff defeat to Argentinos Juniors. Concepción del Uruguay is a city in Argentina. It is located in the Entre Ríos Province, Entre Ríos province, on the western shore of the Uruguay River, some 320 kilometers north from Buenos Aires. 2007–08 Argentine Primera División
The Apertura 2007 saw much success for the smaller teams in Argentine football. The eventual champions Lanús won the title for the first time in their history, the first maiden champions since Argentinos Juniors in 1984. Second place went to Tigre, a club playing their first season in the Argentine Primera since 1980 and making their best finish ever in the top flight. The 2010 Copa Sudamericana de Clubes (officially the 2010 Copa Nissan Sudamericana de Clubes for sponsorship reasons) was the 9th edition of CONMEBOL's secondary international club tournament. The winner qualified for the 2011 Copa Libertadores, the 2011 Recopa Sudamericana, and the 2011 Suruga Bank Championship. LDU Quito was the defending champion.
