Prince Maximilian Emanuel Maria Alexander Victor Bruno de la SantÃsima Trinidad y Todos los Santos zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg (6 October 1931 – 1 December 1994) was a Liechtensteiner alpine skier who competed in the 1956 Winter Olympics. Personal life Being a son of Prince Max Egon of Hohenlohe-Langenburg (1897-1968) and Doña MarÃa de la Piedad de Yturbe von Scholtz-Hermensdorff, 3rd Marquesa de BelvÃs de las Navas (1892-1990), he was brother of Prince Alfonso of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, and thus uncle of Prince Hubertus of Hohenlohe-Langenburg who has skied for the Mexican Olympic team at multiple winter games. In 1961, he married Ana Luisa de Medina y Fernández de Córdoba, 12th Marquesa de Navahermosa (1940−2012), the eldest child of Victoria Eugenia Fernández de Córdoba, 18th Duchess of Medinaceli. Hohenlohe-Langenburg () was a German county and later principality in the Holy Roman Empire. It was located in the current northeastern Baden-Württemberg, Germany, around Langenburg. Since the medieval times this small state was ruled by the House of Hohenlohe, counts and since 1764 ruling Princes of the Holy Roman Empire, until 1806. The princely House of Hohenlohe-Langenburg still owns and lives in Langenburg Castle today. History In 1253 the town and castle of Langenburg were inherited by the lords of Hohenlohe, after the lords of Langenburg had become extinct. Duke of Medinaceli () is an hereditary title in the peerage of Spain, accompanied by the dignity of Grandee. The Catholic Monarchs, Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile, created the title and awarded it on 31 October 1479 to Luis de la Cerda y de la Vega. He also held the title of 5th Count of Medinaceli, which was first awarded in 1368 to his ancestor, Bernal de Foix.
