Max Turner (musician)
Max Turner is a Scottish-German vocalist, producer and songwriter. He is known for being one of the core founders and contributors of the Puppetmastaz., as well as releasing a steady flow of collaborative and solo projects in his distinctive style of rhythm & poetry since his debut on Felix Kubin's '' Gagarin Records'' in 2001 Life and career Career In 1999 Turner moved to Berlin and founded Puppetmastaz with his cousin Paul Affel Chilly Gonzales and several others. They were joined by Taylor Savvy to form the short lived rap-quartet ''The'' Bench'' which featured on a'' Tommy Boy Records ''release among others.'' The album Lost Treasures furthermore features early collaborations between the above-mentioned Mc's and producers such as Patric Catani, Bomb20 and Nitro, all of whom are considered the artistic bedrock of the Puppetmastaz crew. Alternative Hiphop
Alternative hip hop (also known as alternative rap) is a subgenre of hip hop music that encompasses a wide range of styles that are not typically identified as mainstream. AllMusic defines it as comprising "Hip hop music, hip hop groups that refuse to conform to any of the traditional stereotypes of rap, such as Gangsta rap, gangsta, Miami bass, bass, hardcore hip hop, hardcore, and party rap. Dame Vivienne Isabel Westwood (née Swire; born 8 April 1941) is an English fashion designer and businesswoman, largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream. Carnatic Music
Carnatic music, known as or in the Dravidian languages, South Indian languages, is a system of music commonly associated with South India, including the modern Indian states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, and Sri Lanka. ''Ivory Tower'' is a 2010 Canadian feature film and the directorial debut of Adam Traynor, a musician from the German-based hip-hop group Puppetmastaz. The film was co-written by Canadian pianist and rapper Gonzales (musician), Gonzales and Cinema of France, French director and screenwriter Céline Sciamma. Skam Records is an independent electronic music record label based in Manchester, England, founded by Andy Maddocks around 1990. Skam also runs a smaller sub-label called 33. History Skam's first 12-inch single is rumored to have never been officially released, only distributed as a promo. This was a self-titled debut from Lego Feet (Sean Booth and Rob Brown, now known to be the duo Autechre); approximately 100 to 150 copies are believed to exist. The label followed with two 12" records from a project known as Gescom, whose members vary between each release. It is "an open secret that they're somehow associated with" Autechre. Important Records is an American independent record label based in Groveland, Massachusetts. The idea behind the label is to be like a good record store, with releases from diverse artists and genres. History John Brien started Important Records in 2001 out of his Newbury, Massachusetts apartment, initially as an online store. Brien had been the assistant manager of a record shop in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, but he quit when the manager of the store was fired. Important's first two releases were ''Impossible Love'' by the American songwriter Daniel Johnston and '' Amlux'' by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow. Cristian Vogel (born 1972) is an Chilean experimental electronic musician. Biography Vogel was born in Chile and moved to England in the early 1980s with his family, fleeing from the government of Augusto Pinochet. Vogel first began working with electronic compositions in the late 1980s with the Cabbage Head Collective (working with Si Begg, among others).
