Hollywood in Vienna is an annual film music gala hosted in the Vienna Concert Hall where the ''Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award'' is presented. Overview "Hollywood in Vienna" is a red carpet film music gala-concert in the Vienna Concert Hall, where the City of Vienna honours the most prestigious film composers of our time with the »Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award«. Alexandre Michel Gérard Desplat (; born 23 August 1961) is a French film composer and conductor. Judith Hill
Judith Glory Hill is an American singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California. She has provided backing vocals for such artists as Michael Jackson, Prince, and Josh Groban. In 2009, Hill was chosen as Jackson's duet partner for the song " I Just Can't Stop Loving You" during his '' This Is It'' concerts. Lisa Gerrard
Lisa Germaine Gerrard (; born 12 April 1961) is an Australian musician, singer and composer who rose to prominence as part of the music group Dead Can Dance with music partner Brendan Perry. She is known for her unique singing style technique (glossolalia), influenced by her childhood spent in multicultural areas of Melbourne. She has a dramatic contralto voice and has a vocal range of three octaves. Born and raised in Melbourne, Gerrard played a pivotal role in the city's Little Band scene and fronted post-punk group Microfilm before co-founding Dead Can Dance in 1981. Marc Shaiman
Marc Shaiman (; born October 22, 1959) is an American composer and lyricist for films, television, and theatre, best known for his collaborations with lyricist and director Scott Wittman. He wrote the music and co-wrote the lyrics for the Broadway musical version of the John Waters film ''Hairspray''. He has won a Grammy, an Emmy, and a Tony, and been nominated for seven Oscars. Randy Miller (composer)
Randy Miller is a Los Angeles-based film, television and media composer from Ellenville, New York. Early life and education Miller is the son of vocalist and entertainer Muriel King. At a young age he worked as a keyboardist and arranger in hotels in the Catskill Mountains in Upstate New York. Miller has a music composition degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He continued advanced studies in film at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Miller studied piano with the Bostonian pedagogue Mme. Margaret Chaloff. James Shearman is an English conductor, orchestrator, and composer. He is perhaps best known for his contributions to film scores including those for '' Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'', '' Aladdin'', ''Thor'', '' Manchester by the Sea'', ''Beauty and the Beast'', and numerous others. He is the Conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Chief Guest Conductor of the BBC Concert Orchestra, and the Artistic Director of the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina.
