Max Meyer (baseball)
Max Thomas Meyer (born March 12, 1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was selected third overall by the Marlins in the 2020 Major League Baseball draft. He made his MLB debut in 2022. Amateur career Meyer grew up in Woodbury, Minnesota and attended Woodbury High School where he played baseball and hockey. He committed to play college baseball at the University of Minnesota during his junior year. As a senior, Meyer had a 7–1 win–loss record with a 1.01 earned run average (ERA) and 51 strikeouts in innings pitched while batting .421. He was named All-Metro by the ''Star Tribune''. Meyer was drafted in the 34th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft by the Minnesota Twins, but did not sign. Maximilian Meyer (; born 18 September 1995) is a German professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Swiss club FC Luzern. Meyer began his career in 2000, playing for local clubs in his hometown of Oberhausen. He then played within MSV Duisburg's youth system for five years, before moving to Schalke 04 in 2009. Following success at U-19 level, Meyer was promoted to the senior side, making his debut in 2013. Initially playing as an attacking midfielder, his position was made more defensive in the 2017–18 season, but a dispute with the Schalke hierarchy the following April saw him fall out of favour and subsequently run down his contract, becoming a free agent that summer. Internationally, he represented Germany at various youth levels, playing for U15, U16, U17, U19 and U21 teams. Max Friedrich Meyer
Max Friedrich Meyer (June 14, 1873 – March 14, 1967) was the first psychology professor who worked on psychoacoustics and taught at the University of Missouri. He was the founder of the theory of cochlear function, and was also an advocate for behaviourism as he argued in his book "The Psychology of the Other". During his time at the University of Missouri, he opened an experimental lab for Psychology and taught a variety of courses. His lab focused on behavioural zeitgeist and the studies of nervous system and behaviour. Meyer eventually moved to Miami and lived there from 1932 until the late 1950s. Max Meyer-Olbersleben
Max Meyer-Olbersleben (5 April 1850 in Olbersleben – 31 December 1927 in Würzburg) was a German composer and pianist. Biography Meyer-Olbersleben studied with Carl Müllerhartung and Franz Liszt at the Weimar Orchestra School, and with Josef Rheinberger, Franz Wüllner, and Peter Cornelius at the Munich Conservatory. After graduation, he became Professor of piano and theory in Weimar. Later, he was Professor of counterpoint and composition at the Bavarian State Conservatory of Music in Würzburg, and became its director from 1907 to 1920. Some notable students were Adolf Sandberger, Heinrich Steinbeck, Bernard Homola and Marc Roland. In addition, he conducted the Würzburg Liedertafel from 1879 and was Court Kapellmeister of Prince-Bishop of Würzburg. Meyer-Olberleben became known primarily as a composer of songs and choral works.
