Max Harwood
Max William James Harwood (born 12 September 1997) is an English actor. He debuted in the titular role of the film ''Everybody's Talking About Jamie'' (2021), an adaptation of the stage musical based on a true story. He was named a 2021 Brit to Watch by ''Variety''. Early life Harwood was born and raised in Basingstoke. He attended Bishop Challoner Catholic Secondary School and then Queen Mary's College for sixth form where he took A Levels in theatre studies, art photography, music technology and history. He took a year-long foundation course at the Guildford School of Acting on a scholarship before going on to graduate from the Urdang Academy in London. Basingstoke
Basingstoke ( ) is the largest town in the county of Hampshire. It is situated in south-central England and lies across a valley at the source of the River Loddon, at the far western edge of The North Downs. The British Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Performance is an annual award given by the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA). The award was first presented in the 1998 ceremony, until 2020 the category was presented as Most Promising Newcomer. Actress Laila Morse was the first recipient of this award for her performance as Janet in '' Nil by Mouth''. The category with a wider meaning of "newcomer", including new actors but also directors, cinematographers, editors, etc., since 2001 the category is directed towards only actors. "Joan Is Awful" is the first episode of the sixth series of the anthology series ''Black Mirror''. It was written by the series creator Charlie Brooker and directed by Ally Pankiw. Alongside the rest of the sixth series, it premiered on Netflix on 15 June 2023. It follows Joan (Annie Murphy) as her life is adapted in real-time into a television series starring Salma Hayek. It is released on a fictional streaming service, Streamberry, that parodies Netflix; Brooker said the company had no objections to their portrayal. ''Black Mirror'' is a British anthology television series created by Charlie Brooker. Individual episodes explore a diversity of genres, but most are set in near-future dystopias with science fiction technology—a type of speculative fiction.
