Maverick Antcliff
Maverick Antcliff (born 7 April 1993) is an Australian professional golfer currently playing on the European Tour. In 2019, he won the China Tour Order of Merit, the same year he achieved his first three professional wins. Career Antcliff hails from Beaudesert, Queensland, about an hour south of Brisbane, just like fellow golfer Jason Day. He attended Hills International College as a teenager. Antcliff accepted a golf scholarship to Augusta State University, and played golf with the Jaguars' men's golf team 2013–2016. After turning pro in 2016 Antcliff found himself near the top of the leaderboard in a number of events on the Asian Tour and the PGA Tour of Australasia in 2017 and 2018, but wins proved elusive. His breakthrough came in 2019 when he claimed three wins from the first five events of the 2019 China Tour. Official World Golf Ranking
The Official World Golf Ranking is a system for rating the performance level of professional golfers. It was started in 1986. The rankings are based on a player's position in individual tournaments (i.e. not pairs or team events) over a "rolling" two-year period. New rankings are calculated each week. During 2018, nearly 400 tournaments on 20 tours were covered by the ranking system. All players competing in these tournaments are included in the rankings. In 2022, 23 tours factored into the world rankings. As well as being of general interest, the rankings have an additional importance, in that they are used as one of the qualifying criteria for entry into a number of leading tournaments. Australian Men's Interstate Teams Matches
The Australian Men's Interstate Teams Matches were an amateur team golf competition for men between the states and territories of Australia. The event started in 1904 when New South Wales played Victoria. Until World War II the event was played as part of the championship meeting which included the Australian Amateur. It was not until 1947 that all six states, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia, contested the event together. Northern Territory first played in 2015 increasing the number of teams to seven. The final format was a round-robin tournament, each team playing the other six teams, after which the top two teams play a final. Each team consisted of eight players. Seven competed in each round-robin match with all eight playing in the final. Only singles matches were played. Bryden Macpherson (born 7 August 1990) is an Australian professional golfer best known for winning The Amateur Championship in 2011. Amateur career Macpherson was born in Melbourne, Australia. He won the Dunes Medal in 2008, an amateur event in Australia, and set two course records in the process, shooting a 64 and then bettering it with a 63. He enrolled at the University of Georgia in 2009 and was named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year and was also named to the second All-SEC team. He also won the Australian Amateur Stroke Play and the New Zealand Amateur Stroke Play in 2009.
